    Major Duties

    • Serves as primary point of contact for monitoring inventory records and inventory related actions.
    • Responsible for the coordination and monitoring of inventory reconciliation activities that address balance differences and discrepancies.
    • Monitor the quality of asset balance updates to denote whether item is issuable or blocked and suspended due to quality problems, safety issues, inoperable facilities, natural disasters, material condition, or ownership.
    • Coordinate with the Supply Planners and Supply Centers on resolution of issues pertaining to the processing of noncontractual receipts and unauthorized returns.
    • Collect transaction information from other Resolution Specialists to analyze causes of widespread and or recurring inventory discrepancies.
    • Leads the team in the development, recommendation, and implementation of corrective actions to the systems and processes.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Lead General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Knowledge of supply operations and related regulations as well as supply management policies in order to coordinate supply discrepancy problems. Specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of related supply programs and inventory and accounting programs and operations. Experience in supply functions and inventory and accounting programs and operations to independently analyze and resolve difficult issues and problems involving process, methods, data management, and day to day operations. Relating aspects and parts of a major project to the over needs of the organization in order to review operating supply systems for adequacy, efficiency and need for improvements. Fact finding and investigative techniques to analyze difficult inventory discrepancies at distribution centers, customer direct, and non-accountable facilities to perform analysis of existing procedures, work methods to resolve problems by ensuring inventory adjustments are initiated. Knowledge of applications related to Order Fulfillment, Planning, and Technical/Quality. Knowledge of Distribution system processes and applications. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
