    Major Duties

    • Leads the team by assigning work taskings, arranging training, monitoring of work progress, and providing guidance.
    • Plans, coordinates, and executes CPI and Innovation LSS projects and Innovation efforts across DLA Aviation including stakeholders from across military services, program offices, and major suppliers.
    • Reports tangible cost benefits and Return on Investment results gained from implementation of processes and provides Key Performance Indicator measurement.
    • Serves as CPI Project Facilitator/Manager, managing projects which require coordination, collaboration, policies, procedures and system changes with other DLA, Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, other DOD activities and Strategic Suppliers.
    • Prepares and presents written and oral reports to mid-level and senior Agency/Military Services management official including Flag officers and Senior Executive Service officials.
    • Works with managers and Belts to develop strategies for resolving project-related issues and roadblocks and recommends which tools, software, and training are needed.
    • Mentors, coaches, and train Green Belt candidates to project completion and serves as trainer for Belt courses as needed.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Lead Management and Program Analyst (Continuous Process Improvement), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Execution and Operational Experience with DLA and DLA Aviation's cross processes/cross process cycles and supply and demand chain life cycle logistics. Execution and Operational Experience with DLA and DLA Aviation's military combat logistics and contracting business, their regulations, and procedures with a focus on audit, process compliance, and key/internal controls. Ensuring DLA Aviation's customer needs are met while also adhering to organizational policies, procedures, practices, and law. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
