    Major Duties

    • Customer Support Representative at the I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), Camp Pendleton, CA.
    • Represents DLA Headquarters at the Enterprise Level and interacts with Process Owners, Major Subordinate Commands, Supply Chains, and Service Centers.
    • Provides logistical assistance and technical expertise to U.S. Marine Corps Customers and U.S. civil agencies in the Camp Pendleton area receiving DLA logistical support and services.
    • Serves as DLA’s single point of contact on-site to address and resolve customer concerns and issues, interfacing with appropriate supply chain owners and logistics support capabilities.
    • Integrator and facilitator of DLA contact with customers, ensuring the DLA Enterprise is positioned to service the full spectrum of customer logistics support.
    • Participates in contingency logistics planning and readiness exercises to ensure seamless support for major combat operations and contingencies, maintaining rapid deployment capability to respond to crisis situations immediately.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Expert knowledge of full range of defense logistics and supply chain to indoctrinate military segment commanders and leadership on the role the Agency plays in maintaining operational readiness and sustainability to customer missions. Forecasting and planning methods to assist customers with long-range planning and forecasting during negotiations for segment agreements. Thorough understanding of the Department of Defense and defense logistics policies, plans, and procedures to convene joint service working groups resolving supportability problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
