    Major Duties

    • Serves as a senior Military Service Logistical Representative supporting Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization program requirements for petroleum facilities and fuel infrastructure.
    • Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates the execution of assigned SRM programs and projects.
    • Provides cradle-to-grave project management support, including planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned projects.
    • Reviews program plans, project requirements, milestones, schedules, funding, and performance data to ensure program goals and customer requirements are met.
    • Coordinates with DLA, Military Service, major command, installation, contractor, and other stakeholder representatives to support program execution.
    • Evaluates SRM survey results, facility conditions, projected requirements, and Service needs to determine work required to sustain, restore, modernize, or demolish petroleum facilities.
    • Identifies obstacles, risks, and resource issues affecting program execution and develops recommendations for corrective action.
    • Prepares briefings, reports, recommendations, and status updates regarding program progress, issues, risks, and corrective actions.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: -Managing, monitoring, evaluating, or coordinating logistics programs or projects related to petroleum facilities, fuel infrastructure, sustainment, restoration, modernization, military construction, or similar facility support requirements. Analyzing program plans, project requirements, milestones, schedules, funding, performance data, or operational impacts to identify issues, risks, and corrective actions. Applying logistics management principles, policies, procedures, or regulations to support petroleum, fuel infrastructure, facility sustainment, or similar program requirements. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support program execution and prepare briefings, reports, recommendations, or status updates for leadership. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
