    Major Duties

    • Creates, implements, and supports procurement and supply policies, guidance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and desk guides within the Base Operations Support Group of a DLA Primary Level Field Activity.
    • Analyzes supply system functionality and business capabilities; recommends changes in how processes are executed, including system changes or other process improvements.
    • Investigates and analyzes a variety of supply problems, questions, or conditions associated with supply programs and operations.
    • Formulates studies and special projects to evaluate and improve existing supply processes; establishes criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of program and/or organizational goals and objectives.
    • Assists DLA Enterprise Systems (EBS) end users and serves as key customer facing point of contact in the Order Fulfillment process, specifically in the area of Base Operations Support.
    • Provides high level support to all Depot Base Supply teams in the areas of stock operations, supply management, receiving and invoicing.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Management Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Develops guidance, instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and training materials based on review of current operations, system changes, and regulation and provides training. Conducts efficient and effectiveness reviews of current operations and makes recommendations for changes in supply programs. Analyzes principles, practices, and techniques related to supply systems and distribution operations and conducts projects and studies to perform workload analysis. Writes clear, concise reports that summarizes information and provides recommendations related to the effectiveness of supply systems and distribution operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
