    Major Duties

    • Serves as a senior analyst, technical advisor, and mobilization planner for the Mission Support Division of the Network Integration Directorate.
    • Develops, implements, and provides guidance on new policies and revised regulations.
    • Develop comprehensive plans to ensure DLA and DLA Distribution are capable of providing response to serve in times of operational war emergencies, civil defense plans, and disaster assistance.
    • Manages the recruitment of Non-Organic Reserves by marketing training opportunities and coordinating training events.
    • Perform special projects and briefs various levels of management and customer.
    • Assures that coordination is done of all administrative, logistical, training, and mobilization support for the military units and civilian emergency essential personnel.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Mobilization Program Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Recommend policy changes to increase the efficiency of training plans. Experience with developing and performing briefs to customers and management. Requests data calls; gathers information; analyzes information received; prepares reports; and provides information to higher headquarters Monitors training to ensure readiness levels are met and personnel complete training and perform all functions associated with preparations for deployment Evaluates significant trends, issues, and interrelated problems affecting policy and regulations and develops comprehensive solutions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
