    Major Duties

    • Ensures the coordination and scheduling of strategic engagements for the Chief of Staff, Deputy Commander and Commander, DLA Energy.
    • Directs the administrative staff responsible for Energy Headquarter Command strategic engagements, scheduling, executive coordination, training, travel, and security.
    • Establishes goals for project completion and makes provisions for adequate staffing, improving organizational structures and determining sequence of work operations.
    • In conjunction with DLA Energy Senior Leadership and the DLA Energy Governance Group is responsible for researching and analyzing DLA performance metrics, business strategies, and other key data and information.
    • Directs the coordination of the information in order to compose, prepare, guide and/or edit major briefings, speeches, interviews, letters, memoranda, and other means of communication.
    • Responsible for developing, executing, or overseeing business strategies and programs, and related research and development to meet the changing technological and related business practices of worldwide military customers.
    • Ensures that the status and progress of Energy tasks are incorporated into communication products when applicable and assures the Commander's objectives, work priorities, deadlines and quality are met.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory Administrative Staff Advisor, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Manages the organization's administrative and executive functions. Provides direction, technical guidance, and administrative coordination to a group of technical personnel. Plans and accomplishes staff objectives, establishing goals and metrics. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
