    Major Duties

    • As a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:
    • Provides direct supervision and oversight of the Finance Process Management team; directs, coordinates, reviews, and approves work products produced by a team of administrative and professional personnel in a variety of occupational specialties.
    • Serves as functional expert who facilitates the end-to-end business cycle design as fully synchronized with DLA’s continually evolving strategic direction and transformational programs.
    • Supports the execution of financial decisions and policy guidance; exercises supervision over all aspects of process execution; integrates and collaborates with other functional areas to deliver cross-functional solutions to end-to-end problems.
    • Ensures proper resources and mechanisms are in place to support the development of ongoing maintenance of financial policies, business rules, system enhancements, and training.
    • Targets and reduces wasted time and decreases costs by proactively managing handoffs between functions and reducing fragmentation; continuously improves processes, institutionalizes innovative best practices, and communicates lessons learned.
    • Ensures consistent implementation and application of functional decisions and policy, identifies, analyzes, and recommends functional process changes and improvements based on experience and resolution of issues and problems encountered.
    • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and sets and adjusts short-term priorities; evaluates work performance of subordinates; interviews candidates for positions in the division; develops and implements performance standards.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory Financial Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Analyzing financial end-to-end processes to include manual and systemic processes and their associated internal controls. Collaborating with both financial and other functional areas to deliver cross-function and/or cross-site solutions or process improvements. Coordinating work through subordinate supervisors and/or team leads. Developing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidance and instructions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
