    Major Duties

    • Serves as DLA Aviation Industrial Planning and Support Division Chief at a major U.S. Navy industrial activity where Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM), repair of aircraft, and related weapon systems, are planned and executed.
    • Responsible for all aspects of DLA managed and non-DLA managed consumable material planning activities for the U.S. Navy industrial customer.
    • Oversees and directs functions performed by personnel utilizing DLA Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) applications, and those associated with military customer’s PDM Supply and Demand programs, processes, methods, and required procedures.
    • Directs the performance of all actions needed to provide short- and long-range material planning support.
    • Manages customer service and support; point of contact for all DLA material planning activities for the U.S. Navy industrial activity; represents customer during internal DLA meetings to ensure understanding of customer requirements.
    • Implements DLA supply policy as the process representative for all assigned industrial site supply planning and support functions, and appropriate operational level supply support.
    • Supports organizational culture through development and submittal of employee awards and recognition.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience implementing short, mid and long-range supply planning and logistics management support for military service industrial depot productions. Experience developing coordinated logistics solutions/marketing strategies for customers. Experience implementing supply policies for industrial site supply planning and support functions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
