    Major Duties

    • Responsible for developing, delivering and sustaining a full range of Network and Telecommunications solutions.
    • Responsible for assuring all IT solutions meet customer needs and are effectively integrated with existing or planned logistics IT solutions in DoW.
    • Serves as the principal Network and Telecommunications service provider, delivering a full range of IT solutions necessary to support operations and its associated commitment to the war-fighting logistician.
    • Provides management oversight of enterprise-wide network infrastructure, remote capabilities, telecommunications, video, and radio frequency services.
    • Responsible for the delivery of enterprise network services to support enterprise-wide business services that support strategic objectives.
    • Directs, counsels, recommends, advises, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors and team leads.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (NETWORK), your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience with management of all telecommunications, video, wide area and local area network and radio frequency services Subject matter expert in Network Telecommunications Services for all matters pertaining to network operations Plans, directs, coordinates, develops, and implements policy, process and IT solutions Providing network gateways to support wide area networks, local area networks, remote work and all facilities. B. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
