Qualification Summary
To qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYNPLN/INFOSEC) your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Demonstrated experience managing complex SAP application development projects, including ABAP development, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and related SAP technologies. - Proven experience providing technical leadership and direction to development teams, including experience supervising or leading IT professionals in an enterprise application development environment. - Experience with SAP application lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases. - Demonstrated knowledge of modern software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines as applied to SAP environments. - Experience developing and implementing IT governance processes, development standards, and quality assurance frameworks for enterprise applications. - Practical experience integrating SAP applications with other enterprise systems and ensuring compliance with security requirements, federal IT standards, and enterprise architecture. - Demonstrated experience in resource planning, budget formulation, and portfolio management for IT development initiatives. - Experience collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders to align IT development priorities with organizational objectives, particularly in defense, logistics, or supply chain management contexts. - Advanced knowledge of federal IT acquisition processes, IT project management frameworks (such as ITIL or PMI), and risk management principles applicable to enterprise application development. - Experience with documentation of complex technical systems, including development of technical specifications, architectural documentation, and process workflows. - Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
