    Major Duties

    • As a Supervisory Integrated Acquisitions/Supply Team Chief, you will be responsible for the following duties:
    • Directs the accomplishment of a variety of functions that involve primarily Procurement processes, with cross functional interaction with. Technical/Quality Assurance and Planning processes.
    • Oversees the work of functional specialists and support personnel responsible for accomplishing a wide range of acquisition functions, to include somewhat complex acquisitions.
    • Supervises the Integrated Acquisition/Supply Team
    • Perform contracting officer reviews.
    • Incumbent is responsible for and leads acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, negotiations, contract award, contract administration, and management functions for specialized procurements significant to the Agency.
    • Review and analyze certified cost/pricing data and perform cost analysis based on the review of certified cost/pricing data.
    • Serve as a warranted contracting officer. Expectation is to hold warrant level over TINA. Incumbent will be responsible for applying signature to final award documents to obligate DLA funds.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory Integrated Acquisitions/Supply Team Chief, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Basic Contracting Requirement: A.) A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR B.) a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of "A" above. B. Contracting Officer Requirement: Must possess at least two years of experience in a contracting position. C. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Leading others and/or performing work in the contracting discipline. Conducting special projects and studies in Supplier Operations Functional areas. Analyzing difficult contracting issues and identifies alternative courses of action. Solving a variety of contracting problems including those requiring significant departures from previous approaches. Performing cost or price analysis including review of cost breakdowns to determine reasonableness. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
