Major Duties

• Serves as the Foreign Military Sales Branch Chief.
• Responsible for monitoring and enhancing the relationship customers have with DLA, including customer outreach initiatives.
• Provides oversight, support and services to operational activities through a staff of specialists, technicians and administrative personnel engaged in such support.
• Directs and supervises efforts of assigned team personnel to monitor, accomplish, and assist activities in executing mission programs.
• Focuses equally on the quality of both customer service satisfaction and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for a Supervisory Property Disposal Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Disposing of property through reutilization, transfer, donation, sales, abandonment and/or destruction or removal via service contract. Coordinating contractor and outsourcing needs, agreements, and performance monitoring. Experience in the business of surplus property disposition to include principles of DEMIL property and DEMIL requirements, receiving, warehousing, reutilization, merchandising and marketing, business financial management and human resource management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This is a Security Cooperation (SC) position due to the nature of the position's duties and responsibilities. In accordance with DoD Instruction 5132.15 "Implementation of the Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program", incumbent must meet DoD SCW certification requirements applicable to the duties of this position. This position requires a Executive-level Certification which requires three years to complete all required executive-level courses. Additionally, incumbent is required to maintain 20 hours of Security Cooperation professional development continuous learning every two-year period to maintain good standing in the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program.
