    Major Duties

    • Serves as the Chief of the Business Management Division (OW) within the Directorate of Distribution Network Integration, DLA Distribution Headquarters.
    • Manages the administrative functions of DLA Distribution's resource board and sets policy for the operations of all distribution centers under the Command's purview.
    • The Command's purview of operational responsibilities include: establishing standards for efficiency, accuracy, productivity, system performance, and workload management.
    • Reports DLA Distribution metrics to DLA Headquarters and resolves distribution issues while monitoring and reporting achievements against established productivity and performance standards.
    • Acts as the primary liaison between Distribution Operations and the financial organization, acting as the key point of contact for budgeting, spending plans, and the Program Budget Review (PBR) process.
    • Serves as a key integrator of strategic agency issues and represent DLA Distribution Command at Headquarters-level meetings and with other PLFAs.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist position, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Quantitative and business process analysis in direct support of senior leadership, focusing on enhancing performance with national and international implications. Development and maintenance of operational performance metrics and manpower/staffing allowances. Assistance with the management of administrative functions within a resource board and establishment of policy for operations of distribution centers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
