    Major Duties

    • Identifies and analyzes gaps between materiel requirements and industry capacity to satisfy those requirements to include identification of items needed in readiness support.
    • Assures that plans, policies, and procedures are in place to develop and maintain Technical Data Packages for new items and coordinates with other offices/groups to ensure that standardization principles and requirements are met.
    • Manages development of appropriate business decisions and the execution of actions that have a cross-process or cross functional impact across the supply chain.
    • Ensures proper resources and mechanisms are in place to support the development and maintenance of Technical and Quality, Order Fulfillment activities, business rules, system enhancements, and training.
    • Researches problems related to supply planning, makes recommendations to supply planners for any needed adjustments, and resolves supply support discrepancies.
    • Serves as the Directorate focal point lead for Engineering Support Activity (ESA) engagements and escalation.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Support Manager, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Justifies resource requirements, reviews financial executions, and explains variances from planned resource execution for the activities under their purview. Ensures proper resources and mechanisms are in place to support the development and maintenance of Technical and Quality, Order Fulfillment activities, business rules, system enhancements, and training. Researches problems related to supply planning, makes recommendations to supply planners for any needed adjustments, and resolves supply support discrepancies. Directs development of data, provides expertise and insights, secures legal opinions, and prepares position papers or legislative proposals. Executes activities that support the development of goals and objectives related to high levels of program management, development, and/or formulation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
