    Major Duties

    • Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance data to ensure process area is meeting its performance targets and identifies trends.
    • Conducts surveys, independent analysis and investigation of specific process issues using new or innovative approaches to evaluate the process and explore logistics solutions.
    • Analyzes, develops, documents and evaluates complex functional systems requirements for assigned functional area.
    • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness and suitability of deploying new process initiatives.
    • Conducts or participates as a senior analyst in detailed program reviews that involve evaluating, advising on, and improving the effectiveness of a broad range of supply chain programs.
    • Provides the programmers/system analysts with the functional knowledge required to automate new processes and procedures or to enhance current system functionality.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supply Systems Analyst position your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Evaluating additions to or changes in supply programs and information systems. Generating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for assigned process area. Making decisions that encompass interpretation, evaluation and recommendations of new concepts, methods and techniques. Conducting studies to determine whether proposed changes to system applications meet functional user requirements Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
