    Major Duties

    • Provides tailored customer support, maintains customer data and responds to customer inquiries.
    • Receives and processes order cancellations, provides order status updates and modifications, and follows-up on customer receipt.
    • Monitors cross-agency sources of supply and executes lateral support transaction to alleviate work-stop inducing backorders.
    • Ensures exception processing of inventory allocation.
    • Contacts industrial customers to facilitate resolution of routine customer issues, follows-up to ensure complete and quality resolution of supply discrepancies.
    • Coordinates with higher graded specialist to research and track STOs/replenishment actions to facilitate resolution of backorders or delinquent contracts having an impact on unfilled orders.
    • Assist higher graded specialist in the identification and resolution of discrepancies and routine problems effecting the issuing of consumable and non-consumable parts to an Industrial Support Activity customer.

    Qualification Summary

    To qualify for a Supply Technician, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Receiving, processing, and validating supply requisitions or customer sales orders. Assisting with routine Storage and Distribution problems for material due in from overhaul (DIOH), material due in for maintenance or due-out for maintenance (DIFM/DOTM). Assisting in management of backorders or awaiting parts programs (AWP). Expediting emergency supply requests. Providing status to customers regarding supply requisitions, availability of material, or resolution of discrepancy. Coordinating material support problems to expedite material shipments with key Storage and Distribution personnel. Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel (to include Excel report generation). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
