    Job Description

    Advanced Systems Group LLC provides onsite managed services for a prominent global tech company with a studio location in Playa Vista California. The ASGLLC team supports our client's Media Production and Marketing Operations with supporting roles to meet the demands of the client.

    The Manager of Finance will be instrumental in managing end to end finance operations for an in-house creative and production team. With financial oversight and management of the day to day budget, reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking analysis, the candidate must be a numbers driven person. Your efforts will provide spend transparency for key discretionary spend activities that are critical for the growth of the studio. This cross functional role requires the ability to collaborate with Senior key stakeholders, Project Management, Production, Finance and external vendors as well. You will thrive by being a strong communicator with a deep concentration on repeatable, scalable deliverables & building an analytic toolkit.     PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead day to day management of forecasting, budgeting and monthly/quarterly reviews.
    • Directly manage all Brand Creative Studio marketing budgeting and planning activities while coordinating with the Google marketing finance team, in order to pull together a comprehensive marketing story
    • Help drive the effort to reduce results variability, analyzing root causes and driving forecasting improvements
    • Support monthly financial reporting packages to senior management
    • Utilize strong analytical skills to identify areas for reallocating funds or potential deficiencies.
    • Oversee and maintain PO’s, agency/vendor invoice payments, payroll and production allocations.
    • Daily oversight of the central cost center, budget transfers and marketing expenses.
    • Ensure consistent and timely cost reporting, post-mortems, including production planning/analysis and variance explanations .
    • Analyze and review actuals vs. budgets and estimates and research variances; identify risks and opportunities, ensure that all data is properly loaded into the financial systems.
    • Work with Marketing Operations to build and improve on the creation and review process for production budgets as well as build and adjust rate cards as needed.
    • Collaborate with Marketing Operations and central Finance lead on performance measures, strategic planning around production schedules, and financial control procedures.
    • Lead the effort to continue building and managing robust reporting solutions and budget management tools for the marketing organization

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • BA/BS in Finance and/or Accounting

    • 7+ years of finance/accounting experience, preferably with a creative agency, broadcast network or post production agency.

    • Expert skills in Excel, Google Suite and pivot tables

    • Industry experience in a marketing & creative environment dealing with post production, av shoots, photo shoots, media planning, events, travel, agency rate cards, etc.

    • Deep understanding of /experience with production /accounting

    • Ability to work with efficiency, speed and accuracy while remaining dedicated to being results oriented.

    • Pay attention to detail but possess the ability to see the bigger picture.

    • Demonstrates excellent judgement in a demanding environment, completing individual and joint projects on a timely basis.

    • A proactive and innovative self-starter, who is able to drive projects and problem-solve
