    Job Description

    We are looking to hire an Event Coordinator to join our team. The Event Planner will be responsible for organizing all activities for the company. The Event Planner shall oversee all aspects of event preparation and management, including internal and external activities. Events will range from coordinating our participation at major corporate trade shows and academic conferences, to the full event preparation of in-house conferences and, ultimately, a range of webinars and interactive events.

    Responsibilities  Plan and conduct the event on the basis of the budget and financial capability of the host of the event.  Communicate directly with the customer during the event planning process to learn the criteria and priorities, organize the guest list and the vendor specifications, and ensure that both parties understand the relevant information and specifics.  Acquire and maintain awareness of current and ever-growing inventory of rentals and their applications.  Ensure clients receive outstanding customer service pre-event, during the event, and post-event.  Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop seminar programs and stage presentations to excite and engage our visitors.  Serve as a focal point for the planning and execution of information booths at conferences and events.  Exudes a positive, can-do attitude, sense of humour and strong work ethic.  Excellent time management and communication skills  Ability to manage multiple projects independently  Sales skills and able to build productive business relationships  MS Office proficiency

    Qualifications

     BS in Event Management / Marketing or related field  1+ year of experience in a related role, fresh college grads are welcome to apply as well  Possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent administration, and organisational skills.  Has a proven track record in managing projects with multiple deadlines.  A true team player who will live our company values and works collaboratively as part of a small and collegiate team.  Has intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.  Experience with Salesforce CRM advantageous but not essential  Has excellent communication and customer service skills.  Has experience managing multiple internal and external customers – e.g. exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, visitors, suppliers and venues.
