Business Developer
Kelaca is partnering with our client in Myrtle Beach, SC to hire a Business Developer focused on winning new commercial landscape-maintenance contracts. This role is responsible for building and managing a pipeline of qualified opportunities, developing compelling proposals in partnership with operations, and converting prospects into long-term recurring contracts.
You will:
Own a defined territory in the greater Myrtle Beach area
Build relationships with commercial decision-makers across key segments
Lead structured discovery and proposal conversations
Partner closely with operations so solutions are realistic and deliverable
Use data, activity benchmarks, and disciplined follow-through to hit growth targets
Key responsibilities
Build and execute a territory plan for the Myrtle Beach, SC area focused on commercial landscape-maintenance work
Prospect across target segments (e.g., commercial properties, community associations, multi-site clients) using outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and local market intelligence
Run focused discovery conversations to understand budget, decision-making structure, timing, and operational requirements
Develop, price, and present clear, customer-focused proposals in partnership with operations and leadership
Maintain rigorous CRM discipline: log activities, update stages, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately
Collaborate closely with operations to ensure a smooth handoff from signed agreement to service launch
Represent our client professionally at site walks, meetings, and relevant local industry events

Skills, experience & tools
To be effective in this role, you will draw on:
Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, ideally in a service- or contract-based environment
Hands-on experience using a CRM platform to manage territory, accounts, opportunities, and daily activity
Experience preparing and delivering structured, persuasive proposals and presentations
Basic project-management skills to juggle multiple prospects, site visits, and follow-ups
Familiarity with commercial service, construction, or adjacent industries (a plus)
Comfort travelling locally across the Myrtle Beach area for client meetings, site walks, and events
