    18:PAR-037: Summer Design Intern Company Enterprise Community Partners Department Design Initiatives Location Boston, Massachusetts Job Summary Enterprise Community Partners is dedicated to expanding our understanding of the role of design in community development from architectural design of affordable housing to urban planning and community engagement to design thinking as a process for innovation. The Design team at Enterprise is a national voice in the community design movement. Our team is responsible for managing the Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellowship and producing tools, resources and convenings for the community development field on issues of design and social equity. We work closely with other national initiatives of Enterprise like green, resilience, and health and housing. The Summer Design intern will join a small, dynamic and collaborative team and have invaluable exposure to design for social impact and community development. The Intern will support the departments programmatic work, specifically the Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute and accompanying curriculum, through graphic design and layout, creation of presentations and materials, and research. Additionally, the intern will support the production of a book being created about the history of the Rose Fellowship. The position requires strong graphic design and writing skills. The position is full-time, reports to the Senior Program Coordinator of design Leadership. The position is based in our Boston office that we share with MASS Design Group. Job Responsibilities * Support team members with graphic design, graphics creation, print materials, PowerPoint templates and presentations, and updating existing materials. * Assist with writing, research, design and marketing of a book about the history of the Rose Fellowship. * Research emerging trends, policies and design development tools for professionals in the public-interest design and community development fields. * Attend and support role the Affordable Housing Design leadership Institute in Seattle, July 16-18, 2018 * Participate in professional learning opportunities provided for interns in our shared office with MASS Design. * Engage with other Enterprise programs and departments as needed. Qualifications * Excellent communication, writing and graphic design skills * Ability to use Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop * Research skills and the ability to complete research and writing assignments independently * Strong interest in public-interest design, green building and community development Additional Info. -
