GoGo squeeZ is growing fast, & were always looking for a few good men, women, or apples Job Summary: The Sanitation Operator for Materne North Americas manufacturing team located in Traverse City, MI will be responsible for performing and maintaining acceptable sanitary conditions of tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor. This role will focus primarily on shut down and start up sanitation with the focus of supporting and leading the production team in sanitary efforts. Job Responsibilities & Tasks: Perform the duties of sanitation as described in the programs and systems including but not limited to sanitation, environmental monitoring, quality and food safety standards for the plant. Rinse, wash, and sanitize equipment and areas as needed to ensure food safety of finished product and ingredients. Including but not limited to: Processing Equipment, Cleaning and Processing Utensils, and Waste. (Restrooms and General Areas may be necessary.) Lead, monitor, and report on chemical usage and movement of chemicals within the processing plant and ensure compliance of chemical concentrations. Perform Clean-in-Place sanitation on production equipment weekly. Maintain the CIP and COP systems and cleaning of those systems. Train, educate, and mentor team members in the use of sanitation methods, chemicals, and tools. Participate in and initiate continuous improvement with Sanitation Leadership and team members to drive a world class sanitation program. Effectively communicate opportunities, inventory status, continuous improvement efforts, etc. to the Sanitation Supervisor. Investigate, respond, and report internal customer feedback regarding product food safety and quality issues, especially as they pertain to sanitation. Audit, Draft, and Implement SSOPs and Sanitation Policy with guidance from Sanitation Leadership. Key Performance Indicator (KPI): Master Sanitation Schedule, Right the First Time, Conforming Chemical Usage Position Requirements: EDUCATION · High School Diploma or GED EXPERIENCE · 1-2+ Years of Food Manufacturing or Sanitation Experience. · Experience with Automated Systems and Equipment Preferred. · Mixing and Maintaining Chemical Inventory Preferred. SKILLS Able to Manage Time Well and be Self-motivated Attention to Detail Strong Communication Ability Able to Read and Write English Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Ability PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Must be able lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety shoes and hearing protection. Must be able to work in normal office conditions Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time Must be able to work in wet / cold / hot internal and external environments
