Interior Design Intern Job Code: 2018-INTE-IL-008 Location: Chicago, Illinois Department: 1223 InteriorArchitecture FT/PT Status: Temporary Part-time Job Responsibilities: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide beginning level support during the development of the design and technical systems for projects from schematics through construction administration under immediate supervision. TYPICAL DUTIES: Perform design duties as directed by the discipline team leader. Assist with updating and organizing the materials library. Perform CADD assignments. Interface with other project team members on CADD drafting assignments. Prepare drawing layout and format. Assist in material and project research as required for project development. Assist in preparation of presentations. Learn construction terminology and techniques. Perform related duties as required. Job Qualifications: One year of enrollment in an accredited post-secondary architectural or interior design program. Good interpersonal skills. Computer literacy. Revit experience desired. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Capable of traveling to and from project sites. Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation and evaluation purposes. Ability to use office tools and equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
