    Kelaca is looking for a Relationship Banking Specialist for our client partner in Raleigh, NC. The Relationship Banking Specialist is responsible for the retention and enhancement of deposit relationships in conjunction with the Relationship Banking Manager, Commercial Bankers, and Market President to broaden current relationships and business development efforts within an assigned market area while providing basic teller and customer service functions to meet customer and office needs.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Identifies opportunities for enhancing customer relationships through a variety of proactive activities such as outbound calling, customer service interactions, and customer financial reviews.
    • Acquires and deepens customer relationships by opening checking, savings, deposit scan, cash management, online banking, CDs and IRA accounts, ensuring that all appropriate paperwork is completed, and funds collected to process new accounts in accordance with bank policy, procedures and compliance regulations.
    • Maintains and applies extensive knowledge of bank products and services to identify sales opportunities, answer customer inquiries and make referrals when appropriate.
    • Utilizes reports and resources to identify prospective sales opportunities with existing customers.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert on products and services to include calling on prospective customers in conjunction with the Relationship Banking Manager, Commercial Bankers, and Market President.
    • Responsible for completion of fraud prevention inquiries and daily monitoring of reports and emails.
    • Serves as customer contact for problem resolution regarding deposit, credit, and other products and services as well as account maintenance such as address change, stop payments, account closings, transfers, and processing check orders
    • Performs teller duties such as accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks within limits, and obtaining further authorization as required, issuing cashier’s checks, and performing more complex transactions with assistance when needed.
    • Rents and admits customers into safe deposit boxes in accordance with Bank policy and procedures.
    • Prepares documentation for new and existing DepositScan accounts. Monitors daily exception report for DepositScan accounts.
    • Reviews and monitors daily deposit and savings reports and assists management with daily NSF decisions and contacting the customer when required.
    • Executes wire transfer agreement within assigned limits.
    • Answers customer questions and investigates and corrects discrepancies, in accordance with Bank policy and procedures.
    • Ensures office security and risk mitigation practices are followed.
    • Attends regular meetings to continue growth in products, sales, service, and compliance.
    • Participates in monthly and quarterly self-audits. 

    Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.): 

    • An associate degree in business or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum three years progressively more responsible experience within a banking organization.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations.
    • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

     

    Job Type: Full-time

    Hours of Work in Office: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

    FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt
