Who You Are * Youre in school to elevate your natural graphic design talent. You have a passion for good design and the ability to visually translate ideas from concept to completion. * Youre an eager student looking to gain experience working in an office environment. Youre currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in visual communication, graphic design or a similar field. Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud basics (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) is a must. Prior design experience is a huge plus. * Youre a people person. Youre friendly and have a sense of humor. Connecting with people is important. Youll work side-by-side Primeras team of marketing and communications experts. * Youre open to feedback. Youre proud of what you create but happy to collaborate with the team. * Youre a self-motivated, multitask-loving design enthusiast. Youre detail-oriented and have a strong desire to succeed. You can multitask with the best of them. You effectively handle multiple priorities, organize your workload, and meet agreed-upon deadlines. What You'll Do * Youll flex your design muscle. Youll create compelling graphics and materials to support our marketing and communications efforts, working within our established identity of course. * Youll get well-rounded design experience. Projects will range from the slight revision of existing materials to blank-canvas opportunities. Youll move between page layouts, templates, promotional items, brochures, infographics, internal logo design, banners, presentations, sales materials, social media, etc. * Youll work part-time while youre in school. Youll work from our Chicago or Lisle office between 16-20 hours per week around your class schedule for the Spring Semester, with an option to continue working with us full-time this summer. * Youll handle some fun and not-quite-as-fun administrative tasks to support the marketing department. Design work will be your focus, but youll get exposure to all areas of marketing a professional services firm. This may include things like database updates, print production, filing, shipping, etc. * Youll enjoy what you do. Youll work with great people, learn, grow and have a good time doing it.
