Razorfish is looking to add a JUNIOR COPYWRITER to the team. This person will be passionate about storytelling for all brands but also have an interest in automotive. You have a unique POV with proven experience writing for social media. REMOTE OPTION: We would love for someone to be in our location, but if not at least on the west coast in traveling distance of offices on occasion. We accept that this position will be 100% remote if you are not in the vicinity of the Razorfish San Luis Obispo offices. We would love for someone to be open to relocating in the future. We have begun retuning safely to offices in a hybrid work model – our goal is to provide the opportunity for purposeful collaboration while being flexible to the needs of the individual.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with creative team
• Partners with JR Art Directors and/or designers, works under direction of ACDs and CDs to determine conceptual and copy direction
• Determines the tone, style, structure, and voice of client’s brand
• Translates creative direction into engaging and effective copy concepts
• Excels at writing catchy headlines and social media copy
• Understands business objectives and audience demographics
• Presents copy and creative concepts to client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in English, journalism, communications, or Advertising/Portfolio school
• 1 – 3 year’s experience as a copywriter in an agency environment
• Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking
• Outstanding writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles
• Expert at strategic brainstorming, campaign development and creative execution
• Acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
