    Sr. Software Engineer

    Role summary

Kelaca is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer/Loan IQ Engineer for their client partner for this remote opportunity in Charlotte, NC. This senior, hands-on software engineering role sits within a Loan IQ-focused lending platform in a large banking environment. You will design, build, and customize solutions, maintain batch processes and integrations, and provide dependable production support across the loan lifecycle. The work spans both a live consolidation program and day-to-day operations, so you will move between feature delivery, integration work, and rapid issue diagnosis to keep lending workflows and connected systems stable, performant, and reliable.

    Key responsibilities

    • Develop and customize Loan IQ-related solutions.

    • Build and maintain batch processes, interfaces, and integrations.

    • Troubleshoot defects and provide dependable production support.

    • Apply loan lifecycle and banking workflow knowledge to technical delivery.

    What success looks like

    • Stable, maintainable solutions delivered to a high standard.

    • Production and integration issues resolved effectively.

    • Strong judgement shown across build, support, and troubleshooting work.

    Knowledge & tools

    • Java and/or Microsoft .NET / C# – for building and enhancing core services, interfaces, and integration components that interact with Loan IQ and related systems.

    • ASP.NET – for APIs and service endpoints that expose lending functionality or connect upstream/downstream applications.

    • Oracle – for working with core lending data structures, writing performant SQL, and supporting data-intensive batch and reporting processes.

    • Batch processing tools and schedulers (e.g. Control-M or similar) – to design, run, and monitor end-of-day, interest, fee, and lifecycle-related jobs across the lending platform.

    • Interfaces and integrations (REST, SOAP, MQ, file-based) – to connect Loan IQ with surrounding systems such as general ledger, payments, data warehouses, and reporting platforms.

    • Debugging, troubleshooting, and observability tooling – using logs, alerts, dashboards, and traces to investigate production issues in a distributed enterprise environment.

    • Finastra Loan IQ – configuration, scripting, and integration patterns; experience supporting or extending Loan IQ in a production setting is strongly preferred.

    • Loan lifecycle and banking workflow knowledge – understanding how loans are originated, serviced, and closed, and how those events drive technical behaviours, dependencies, and controls.

    Capabilities

    • Translate complex domain requirements into workable technical solutions.

    • Switch effectively between development, integration, and support activity.

    • Work methodically through issues where documentation or context may be incomplete.

    Behavioral signals

    • Ownership mindset and dependable follow-through

    • Calm handling of pressure, urgency, and live issue resolution

    • Practical collaboration with technical and integration stakeholders

    Location & working pattern

Remote-fixed working arrangement with primary alignment to Charlotte, NC and standard weekday banking hours.

This role offers meaningful hands-on scope on a complex enterprise lending platform, with the chance to contribute across engineering, integration, and operational stability rather than a narrowly defined delivery lane.

Apply if you bring strong engineering depth, enjoy solving production and integration problems, and can add value quickly in a complex lending technology environment.
