    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

    The Assistant Manager, Artistry/ PRO Artist is an ambassador of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics to consumers, field teams and retail makeup artists. The position supports the Education and Artistry department’s strategic objectives, completing assignments and projects as requested. In addition, this position is responsible for increasing local awareness and engagement via social, event support and press placements. Inspire artists and consumers via branded artistry content, masterclass and special event activities. Drive conversion via social, virtual and in-person activities. Demonstrate the highest level of product knowledge and artistry skills along with customer recruitment, service and selling ability.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Develop education and artistry support tools under the direction of the Director of Education and Artistry
    • Achieve Featured Artist event sales targets and execute seasonal event formats
    • Demonstrate exceptional strength in Artistry and hold Bobbi Brown Accreditations
    • Master and exemplify brand’s makeup philosophy and service standards
    • Represent Bobbi Brown on own and brand social media platforms
    • Continuous development of personal makeup artistry skills and techniques
    • Drive sales through artistry, with a focus on strengthening the artistry skills of brand artists and MBBAs, to ensure Bobbi Brown techniques are understood and demonstrated
    • Create event training curriculum & bulletins with Education & Artistry Directors

    NYO Support

    • Support the achievement of sales and training goals by collaborating with the Education and Artistry team on digital, virtual and in-person education initiatives
    • Create coaching content including product one-pagers and content needed for NALX, with a focus on new product launches and best-sellers
    • Maintain the Artistry Space to ensure a welcoming area for in-office makeup applications

    Event Execution

    • Serve as face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics during events, exemplify highest standard of customer care and translate best in class artistry technique into sales.
    • Host Pre-Event training for retail artists and freelance artists supporting event, presenting event focus, specific artistry, selling and service Pro Tips along with Sales Goal, SPH and product pairings.
    • Understand and act as a role model, showcasing brand philosophies, consumer engagement and artistry techniques to strengthen adoption of/ sustainable change in artistry and service practices by MUA
    • Summarize and communicate results of in-store events to FE, FETM and Artistry Department with key learnings, MUA skill assessment and recommendations for future development.

    Omni Artistry Development

    • Maintain open communication with Artistry Department to receive artistry strategy and direction
    • Participate in PR, CE and Artistry Events as needed
    • Support Bobbi Brown and retailer com sites with virtual artistry service, selling and events
    • Conduct Artist Accreditation for eligible artists as needed
    • Collaborate with Education team to develop and facilitate Artistry Trainings

    Event Planning & Development

    • Partner with FE’s to ensure events are programmed at key moments in appropriate doors
    • Create engaging, event-specific sound bites for use in scheduling appointments and recruiting clients
    • Share knowledge gained from events to evolve services and elevate client experience

    Social Media

    • Maintain own artistry presence on social channels, consistently posting content that aligns to the brand’s social marketing calendar
    • Support global brand social channels on request
    • Coach Artists on how to create engaging content that adheres to brand guidelines

    Accountabilities:

    • Ensure timely submission and accuracy of expense reports
    • Provide and share regular recaps/reports on all scheduled activities
    • Manage T&E budget in accordance with ELC corporate policies
    • Book own travel

    Qualifications

    • 3-4 years of experience in the field of Makeup Artistry with strong artistry skills
    • Demonstrates understanding of brand image and philosophy
    • Extensive Bobbi Brown product knowledge
    • Effective communication skills with both internal and external parties
    • Engaging both on camera and in-person with press and clients
    • Proven track record to convert and drive loyalty
    • Strong internal/ external customer service
    • Strong ability for mentoring/ nurturing via positive and constructive feedback
    • Able to travel frequently

    Effort

    • The position requires moderate physical effort.
    • Makeup Kits, (weighing +40lbs when loaded) must be lifted and transferred to and from vehicles, airports, artistry and training venues.
    • While in office and during trainings and events, packing, unpacking, moving and setting up will be required.
    • Maintain and transport own makeup kit.
    • Travel by air and car is required, possibly for extended periods of time.
    • In store or at events, one may stand for several hours.

    Working Conditions

    • Work Locations could include but are not exclusive to: Retail Partnered Store (Department Store/Specialty-Multi store/retail selling floor), training rooms, film, TV, photography studio, hotel, restaurant or conference room, makeup room environment, back stage fashion shows, client’s home.

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
