  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Work with the Executive Director of Collaborations, Collections, Celebrity on coordinating partnership activity for the brand Globally. This includes supporting the Partnerships team(s) with talent selection for charitable brand initiatives, special product collaborations, brand partnerships, talent personal appearances and special events. Coordinate and manage M∙A∙C’s talent related collaborations and event sponsorships/galas, specifically in the areas of social mission, pop-culture and entertainment.

    PARTNERSHIPS GENERAL

    • Conduct research and provide talent/Brand/IP/Designer recommendations on a monthly basis to for Senior level alignment that latter to M∙A∙C’s brand pillar objectives of All Ages, All Races, All Genders.
    • Assist Executive Director in identifying and negotiating partners for Global and Regional-specific programs as well as managing deliverables for specific talent collaborations.
    • Manage external partner-specific requests needed by multi-functional teams including online and social media special events/activities.
    • Act as day-to-day contact for regional collaborations, ensuring all deadlines for collaborations are met and talent is engaged in programming and 360-digital plans.
    • Facilitate and present in-depth risk assessments and business cases for partnership alignment.
    • Maintain timetables for projects and work with the product marketing team(s), creative, consumer marketing and Artist Relations on meeting all deadlines and formulizing 360 launch plans with an online-acceleration and digital mindset.
    • Support and work with regional teams to secure external talent/musical performers at fashion week(s), market launches, store openings, future local opportunities, regional events/local gala’s and other special events.
    • Create and manage database for regionally relevant talent Globally.
    • Handle logistics and coordination of talent appearances, travel arrangements, itineraries, green room requirements, and run of shows.
    • Assist Executive Director to orchestrate offers, negotiations and deal terms and work with internal legal partners on contracts with outside partners and collaborators.
    • Expand knowledge of international landscapes and familiarize yourself with cultural nuances.

    ACTIVATIONS

    • Handle planning/logistics for external/charity-related events and event sponsorships under the M∙A∙C Viva Glam fund.
    • Manage event documents including drafting, submitting, and maintaining creative requests, run-of-shows, recaps and task lists.
    • Responsible for managing event invitations/RSVP lists for all talent-related events.
    • Work closely with cross-functional creative departments on event logistics as related to talent.

    MISCELLANEOUS

    • Ensure all vendors and shipping houses are organized and schedules are deployed against brand timelines to ensure launching with excellence.
    • With Executive Director, lead the Earned Media Plans for Global Collections, Underground and initiatives relating to external IPs.
    • Ideate, facilitate, and execute creative mailings seeding opportunities and determining which industry individuals should receive these items.
    • Work with Executive Director and Consumer Marketing team Administrator to manage budgets and procurement for specific talent projects/events and department.
    • Assist with management of budget and track invoicing for collaborations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • 5 years of communications, celebrity/brand management, event/agency experience
    • Must possess superb verbal and written communication skills.
    • Solid understanding of cultural nuances.
    • Organizational and multi-tasking capabilities required.
    • Other languages preferred (preferably Mandarin) strongly preferred.
    • Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking and passionate about the beauty and cosmetics industry.
    • Adaptive to International working-hours on a case-by-case basis.
    • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, Keynote.

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
