Assistant Manager, Human Resources (Clinique)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager, HRBP works collaboratively as a part of the Human Resources (HR) team and is responsible for providing support and leading projects across multiple functions of HR including Operations, Analytics, Talent Development, and HR business partnership with employee client groups. The HR Assistant Manager is responsibile for performing essential functions that help organzie and support the overall operating functions of HR for the Clinique brand. This role is responsible for providing human resource consultation to all global brand departments and will partner closely with functional HRBP’s and HR centers of excellence.
This is a hybrid position that will be based out of the Clinique headquarters located in New York, New York.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as front-line support employees for any HR related questions around policies, procedures, and general inquiries.
Execution of a full range of HR duties including, but not limited to; partnering with talent acquisition to acquiring key talent, assist hiring managers with writing job descriptions at the Manager and below levels, communicate and educate all teams on policies and procedures, and lead annual HR processes (performance management, compensation planning, etc.)
HR Analytics: Maintain HR analytics reporting for monthly HR and TA Dashboards including preparation, accuracy, data insights, etc. in the following areas; turnover, exit interview data, onboarding surveys, new hire reporting, employee population demographics, etc.
Employee Surveys (exit, onboarding, etc.)
Upload and maintain all employee data on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy
Be main point of contact for initiating employee surveys for exiting and onboarding employees
Performance Management - field questions from employees, and monitor the completion of performance goals/reviews for CLINIQUE population
Support the talent planning and annual talent council process by providing guidance to leaders on process, support completion of talent forms and data, track movement across the functions, and partner with leadership team and HR team on identifying action plans
As a steward of the CLINIQUE onboarding program, own the employee onboarding and new hire orientation program with support from global education and cross functional teams.
In conjunction with centers of excellence, act as HR point of contact for all leaves of absence (i.e. parental leave, short term disability, etc.)
Establish and manage organizational relationships and understand the client’s business as a trusted advisor. Proactively offer solutions regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution with insightful data to guide decision making, with support and guidance provided by the HR Director and HR Vice President, as needed.
Provide expertise in the following areas: organizational development, performance management, coaching, employee relations, data analytics, compensation planning, and learning and development strategy.
Investigate and understand the alignment between business goals, talent needs and skills within the organization. Diagnose capability gaps and determine where HR can add the most value and which metrics would measure this.
Be a champion of culture and lead critical initiatives including but not limited to: ID&E, Rewards & Recognition, & liaison with Corporate partners on annual ELC Summer Internship program
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICTIONS
Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources or business-related field required
PHR or HR certification preferred
3 - 4 years of relevant HR experience – HR Business Partner (leading HR strategy for client groups, Employee Relations, etc.)
Strong strategic thinking and honed analytical skills - able to help others make connections and see the big picture.
Knowledge of Oracle HR and/or HR Systems is preferred.
Excellent consulting, communication and facilitation skills (including analysis, diagnosis, recommendations, etc.).
Creative problem-solving skills, ability to employ sound judgment in complex situations.
Great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data. Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead incident investigations and provide necessary documentation and manage communication with employees, managers, and internal stakeholders preferred
Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done and the next moment being part of deeply complex strategy discussions.
Great communication skills and understand how to communicate large complex change.
Proven organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
