The Assistant Manager, an integral member of the product marketing & strategy team, identifies, analyzes, interprets, and reports trends and patterns in complex data sets. Technical expertise in data mining, building data models and drawing insights is required.
Reporting to the North America Skincare and Clinique For Men Product Senior Manager, you will also support day-to-day development and execution of marketing plans and driving market share growth and sales through new launches, commercial innovation planning, analytics, and execution.
Responsibilities:
CONSUMER AND MARKET ANALYSIS & TRACKING:
Analyze, summarize and communicate key beauty market and consumer trends and competitive brands landscape
Analyze and interpret monthly and quarterly beauty market data to drive insights to action
SEASONAL CATEGORY STRATEGY - MERCHANDISE FINANCIAL PLAN AND LONG RANGE PLAN
Support team in development of category and hero product seasonal Merchandise Financial Plan and three-year long range plan for portfolio strategy
Conduct analyses of complex SKU-level data and build data models to develop portfolio subcategory plan
NEW LAUNCH AND HERO GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGIES AND EXECUTION:
Support team in development of new launch marketing frameworks and go-to-market strategies
Develops new launch calendar cadence and seasonal Creative briefs
Lead gratis, press preview and fast track processes
Partners closely with Trade Marketing, Consumer Engagement and Account teams to ensure seamless execution of seasonal market meetings
ANALYTICS & PRESENTATIONS:
Support in data analytics (NPD, IRI) and analyses to inform category strategy and marketing programs
Collaborate with Global Marketing to evaluate new launch sales opportunity
Create presentations for retailer market meetings and new launch recaps
Present seasonal innovation programs to extended Clinique NA team
Supports pricing process: processes pricing approvals and uploads pricing templates to SAP for US; supports team in ongoing approval of pricing signage; issues annual US SRP increase
Manage detailed Skincare support documents and budget
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree
3+ years of related work experience in data analytics, strategy, marketing. Proven working experience as a Business Data Analyst or Strategy/Management Consultant
Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze data and drive insights to action. Advanced skills in Excel and Powerpoint are critical
Independent, self-starter and detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational skills
Ability to own and manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with un-prompted follow through
Strong written/verbal communication skills with ability to present to team leads, clearly articulate market needs to Global partners and provide NA team with clear follow ups
Team player with the ability to build, foster and nurture relationships with members of cross functional teams
Creative and inclusive thinker, with the ability to implement new ideas and processes
Knowledge of and passion for beauty and consumer trends
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,000 to $104,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
