  • Responsibilities

    The primary function of this role will be traveling to store locations throughout the Americas region. This is a corporate position covering the Estée Lauder brand portfolio.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Be the lead at all new door installations. Install all necessary VM components, sort product, stock shelves and educate all store employees on best practices in visual merchandising. Ensure the store opens 100% complete with product and corresponding VM elements. Finish with an excellent photo report of the space and terminal documenting any punch list items. Share the report with the Miami visual merchandising and store design team as well as upload photos to OTM.

    • The ability to make quick decisions in-store and use discretion to solve on site issues.

    • Closely coordinate and work with other members of the branded sales team eg: ASM/AC/AA to ensure all branded VM collaterals are updated.

    • Follow a rotating monthly travel schedule approved by manager to all current doors to ensure each location follows the latest planograms, has current visual merchandising componentry and collateral. Note any issues in store and work closely with project administrator to communicate scope of work. When needed reach out and work directly with SD/PM & vendors to make sure repairs are completed in a timely manner.

    • Maintain collaborative relationship with the Miami VM team to maintain regional and global consistency. Drive weekly status calls with visual merchandising manager to align on priorities and deadlines. Travel to Miami/New York office seasonally to meet with visual merchandising associates and directors.

    • Support as needed on the design of cutting edge in-store communication and visuals based on brand directives as well as the market and consumer trends.

    • Maintain a special focus on specific top 75 high profile doors.

    • Understand the complexity of gaining access to the majority of post security airport locations by partnering with retailer partners. Build relationships and communication with in-store personnel to allow streamlined access to the stores.

    • When needed order visual merchandising elements from merchandising inventory based at our warehouse in Miami and order collateral from vendors when necessary.

    • Responsible for logistics and tracking of all VM elements that will be sent to all stores. Follow up to make sure they are received.

    • Ability to be on your feet for 8-10 hours a day and lift boxes up to 30 lbs.

    • Work closely with the VM administrator to make sure PO# are issued on time and vendors are paid.

    • Have the ability to design brand layouts when needed. This includes but not limited to: transparency layouts, communication bands, promotional spaces, floor graphics, advertising art and various other collateral as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BFA required

    • 3+ Years of visual merchandising/graphic design/marketing and/or related field experience required

    • Knowledge of computer programs including:

      • Adobe Creative Suite required

      • Adobe Acrobat required

      • Microsoft Office required

    • IWD displayer preferred but not required

    • Ability to travel 90% of the time with limited notification beforehand

    • Valid passport required

    • Portfolio preferred

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • Strong Visual Merchandising skills

    • Understanding of urgency and the ability to deliver on time

    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

    • Great photography skills

    • Ability to communicate with brand associates/managers/directors of higher level

    • Must be flexible to travel and work over weekends and sometimes overnight if needed.

    • Ability to self-manage and work independently

    • Understanding of typography, color and composition

    • Understanding of logistics and customs requirements when shipping domestically and internationally

    • Spanish speaking a plus but not required

    • Basic understanding of store design and the ability to read a floorplan

    • Previous experience in luxury brands a plus
