  • Responsibilities

    This role is designed to support the benchwork, cell culture and key scientific platforms.

    Candidate should be a self - starting and independent scientist who can drive their own projects with minimal supervision and direction, maintain work programs within established timelines, and be comfortable reviewing technical literature and scientific publications.

    Scientist is expected to learn all aspects of developing projects accurately. Work well with team members, support team decisions, share ideas; and build good relationships, learn to communicate, and interact with internal and external collaborators.

    1. Plan for cell culture and execute biological assays.

    2. Conduct both laboratory and information research related to key platforms

    3. Be able to analyze data and plan for next experiments based on results

    4. Communicate clearly results as well as eventual problems in experiments critical for delivery on timeline

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences
    • 0-1 year laboratory experience in biology
    • Experience: Hands on lab skills, cell culture, biological assays, computer skills, operation of lab equipment such as incubators.
    • Able to analyze data and run experiments. Able to work independently and in teams.
    • Light to medium lifting - pails and boxes 20lbs or less.
    • May require long hours of standing when working at the bench.
    • Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment may require some light lifting.
    • Able to cope in a demanding fast pace stressful laboratory environment. Maintain a clean/safe laboratory working environment and data integrity.
