    Description

    The Compounding Process Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Compounding Supervisor in coordinating the activities of compounding staff and resources, completing paperwork and reporting, as well as mixing any batch type independently. They are responsible for giving direction to compounders to execute the production schedule in a manner consistent with the manufacturing department’s goals and objectives, adhering to workplace GMP and safety policies and procedures.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Assists the Supervisor with executing the production schedule and assigns tasks to Compounders and related staff.
    • Understand and follow safety guidelines and procedures, including proper PPE use and promoting a safe culture with the team.
    • Understand and follow manufacturing procedures and operate complex processing equipment (mixing kettles, pumps, homogenizers, blenders, filters, etc.) to mix batches meeting Right First Time Quality specifications, and clean and sanitize equipment.
    • Complete all required paperwork, batch close out, documentation, sampling, inventory transactions and reporting for the compounding department, in line with GDP.
    • Assists with technical support and mentoring and training for compounding staff
    • Assists leadership with ensuring all plant policies and procedures are followed
    • Assists leadership with identifying and driving process improvements and communicating any challenges
    • Assists other Work Centers as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Experience: Some experience in a controlled manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Must follow GMP and GDP requirements.
    • Must follow instructions, pay attention to details, and effectively multi-task
    • Must have some mechanical aptitude and comfortable operating powered/hydraulic industrial equipment
    • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
    • Must have a strong understanding of measurement units and basic math.
    • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency to read/write in English.
    • Must have strong computer proficiency.
    • Must display leadership skills and lead by example.
    • Must be able to effectively problem solve.

    Pay Range:

    The anticipated hourly range for this position is $26.00 to $34.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
