    KEY ACTIVITIES

    • Working hands on daily with code, IDEs, data warehouses, data lakes, and engineering tools to support business objectives

    • Developing, maintaining, and contributing to internal code bases with best practices in mind

    • Creating ETLs, Feature Stores, and Production data pipelines for source or external sources to support projects

    • Automating, modularizing, and optimizing redundant data science workflows supporting project builds

    • Documentation and diagraming in detail for solution workflows

    • Working with business teams / stakeholders to explain and ensure the pipelines/calculations are in-line with expectations

    • Building End-to-End solutions from scoping to production deployment

    • Working to support data scientists / ML engineers in the data ops part of analytical life cycles

    QUALIFICATIONS

    TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python, Spark, PySpark, Julia, SQL)

    • Knowledge of software lifecycles and best practices in the programming language of choice

    • Knowledge of short- and long-term sustainable ML systems

    • Masters Degree in a quantitative field preferred (in one of the above or equivalent)

    BEHAVIORAL SKILLS

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and operational tasks simultaneously

    • Strong intrapersonal skills, teamwork mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally

    FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

    • Experience working on one or more cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)

    • Deep expertise in one of the languages (Python, Spark, PySpark, Scala, SQL, Julia)

    • Working within notebook & IDE environments (Databricks, JupyterLab, RStudio, PyCharm, Spyder, DataGrip)

    • Experience hands-on with DataOps (Preparation, QA, Staging, Validations, Lineage, Profiling, Tracking)

    • Experience using one or more of the following tools (Databrick, Snowflake, SageMaker, Hbase, Hadoop, Airflow)

    • Experience using GitHub, bitbucket, (or others) and version control

    • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or related software

    • Experience with developing production end-to-end solutions

    • Experience or knowledge of feature stores (Feather, Feast, Hopworks, Delta Lakehouse)

    • Understanding / Hands on use of Azure Synapse, DBX Warehouses, Oracle, Delta Lakehouse, ALDS, DBFS)

    • Ability to tie loose ends together for solutions across systems

    • Knowledge using and building custom APIs

    NICE TO HAVES:

    • Experience using Azure Data Factory (ADF)

    • Experience using KubeFlow or Azure ML Studio

    • Understanding of Statistical and Machine learning workflows

    • Understanding of DevOps and MLOps workflows
