Director, Digital Education, Operations and Learning Analytics, Global Education - MAC
The Director, Digital Education will support and lead the M·A·C approach to hybrid learning education by expanding digital learning through the development and execution of content strategies that support our commercial ambitions, managing the ongoing development of, testing and performance improvement of our LMS and CMS while accelerating the digital competencies of our global and field teams. They will help build a continuous, personalized, agile, engaging digital learning journey that supports the brand strategy, drives business outcomes in all of our distribution corridors and elevates our retail employee & customer experience to drive loyalty and repeat business.
They will work closely with the Digital Education team and subject matter experts to create structure, processes and engaging digital learning content that complements & amplifies the brand’s IRL (classroom and in-store) learning experiences. They will focus primarily on creating e-learning content to enhance the makeup artistry, customer service, product knowledge and social media skills of our Artist community. They will leverage & support existing technologies and help to source, evaluate, recommend and implement relevant, engaging new digital learning solutions for our field employees. They will manage junior members of the digital content creation team and manage the relationships with our corporate and vendor partners in the areas that they oversee.
They will also oversee the Global Education Analytics COE which will systems of collecting, tracking, analyzing and reporting KPIS, training and education data throughout the organization. This information will be used to measure the success of trainings, drive accountability, provide key business leaders with insight into the tactical execution of education globally and highlight areas of opportunities and strengths in an executive summary with recommendations on how to pivot or optimize the strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Create engaging, innovative digital learning content that meets learning objectives and supports brand strategy – (30%)
· Contribute to adopt training needs analysis.
· Map and lead the execution of NPL/Evergreen E-learning content every season.
· Collaborate with Education team to ensure digital learning content aligns with IRL educational initiatives.
· Design & develop digital learning modules in Articulate Storyline 360.
· Oversee the maintenance and updates of existing digital learning modules to be legally compliant and contain most updated product information. Communicate all adaptations as required.
· Help to gather data, feedback and insights on digital learning content and apply these insights to continually improve our digital learning user experience.
· Help to source, evaluate, recommend and implement new digital solutions to build capabilities for the future.
Lead Digital Operations and logistical support to existing learning technologies (Product Knowledge Manual website, MAC on Demand, My MAC X, Analytics Dashboard) – (45%)
· Lead technical support and implementation strategy to the broader Artist community to enable access to learning technologies as needed.
· Lead team effort to enhance and leverage our Third-Party Platform relationships.
· Lead the ongoing development, optimization, user-testing and implementation strategy of My MAC X platform.
· Partner with Director, Digital Education to synthesize key learning from analytics and provide ongoing feedback and recommendations for optimization.
· Lead the Global translation effort for digital content in partnership with Global IRL team, Regions and Markets.
· Maintain translation database, perform QA, and provide change leadership to optimize the translation process.
Collaboration & Teamwork – (10%)
· Collaborate closely and productively with the Global Education team, subject matter experts and corporate partners.
· Work closely with IRL to ensure digital content aligns to seasonal objectives.
· Help to apply a design thinking approach to design and development of all learning experiences.
· Embrace and adopt a test-and-learn mindset.
· Provide support to Education initiatives as needed.
· Partner closely with regional partners to ensure content is timely and easily adaptable.
Management & Leadership – (15%)
· Manage Manager, Global Digital Education Operations, provide ongoing feedback as well as annual performance reviews.
· Lead, inspire and optimize the performance of all members of Global Education team as well as Regional Digital Education Managers.
Qualifications
Experience Needed
· 5-10 years of relevant learning & development experience which includes experience in a digital learning environment creating content and driving strategy
· Demonstrated proficiency in developing e-learning modules and training solutions using Articulate Storyline 360
· Experience with evaluating and implementing digital learning solutions to support commercial strategy
· Experience with building and maintaining Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems.
· Experience with Microsoft technologies including Office 360 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
· Experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro
· Experience in direct and indirect leadership, influencing broader organization and regional brand partners, negotiating with vendors, etc
Skills Needed
· Fluency in Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro
· Fluency in digital learning solutions and all consumer-facing digital channels
· Acute comprehension and successful implementation of principles of adult learning, instructional design, learning analytics
· Ability to manage multiple projects, people and cross-functional deliverables simultaneously
· Strong self-motivation, organization, collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, problem solving and stakeholder management skills
· Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills

Consumer-centric approach
he anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000 to $202,100. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
