    The EMEA Regional Apps Senior Lead is a key member of the TechOps Application Maintenance leadership team.  This position is based in the Bucharest Digital Technology Center and is accountable for the support of all EMEA specific application/technology solutions; works closely with key EMEA business & IT stakeholders and other IT teams for delivering application and EDI enhancements, and production fixes. They will manage support vendor teams in the delivery of the application enhancements and production issue resolution

    This person will also manage all vendors for the EMEA functional IT domain, and they will ensure the services being provided by the outsource provider(s) are consistently meeting SLA’s

    They also engage with the business areas within their functional domain to support operational business events and any associated application changes. Some key applications this role will be responsible for third party support are Manhattan WMS, LM7 WMS, SAP EWM.

    Main responsibilities:

    40% MANAGE SUPPORT VENDOR TEAMS:

    • Work with application support vendors and associated technicians and technical leads to understand application issues and assist with the design and testing of solutions to both major and minor enhancements and break fix oriented issues.
    • Advise and establish break fix and major and minor enhancement solutions and work with the AMS and applications development teams to ensure delivery is on time whilst adhering to incident and enhancement priority settings
    • Work with support vendor teams to prioritize work based upon global as well as regional demands.
    • Consistently educate vendor AMS and AD teams about ELC Corporate and IT best practice.
    • Educate vendor teams on the EMEA Supply Chain organizations and practices.
    • Introduce continuous improvement methodology to increase the quality and speed at which fixes and enhancements are delivered, using proper metrics to ensure the quality and overall balance of the team.

                                                                    

    30% ANALYZE DATA, ENHANCEMENT SOLUTIONS, AND PRODUCTION ISSUES:

    • Review and manage the 3rd party operational services including monitoring operational metrics and SLAs
    • Review and approve P1 problem resolutions provided by the AMS teams
    • Identify opportunities for automation for repetitive support activities

                                                                                                                         

    30% PARTNER WITH REGIONS, IT FUNCTIONS AND DTE TO DELIVER APPLICATION ENHANCEMENTS AND RESOLVE PRODUCTION ISSUES:

    • Work closely and collaboratively with multiple IT and business teams to plan delivery of, design, build, test and deploy new major and minor application enhancements or production break/fixes
    • Manage and prioritize EMEA EDI Enhancement requests with delivery team
    • Responsible for ensuring successful deployment and stabilization of the application changes including enhancements and EDI
    • Documents process, data flows/transformations, and algorithms associated with application changes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 6+ years of experience in application maintenance, with increasing leadership responsibilities
    • Experience successfully managing outsourced Application Maintenance Support (AMS) teams to implement application enhancements including EDI and resolve production issues including optimizing software application performance, identifying automation opportunities, implementing upgrades, transition of projects to steady state support and leading resolution of P1 issues.
    • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
    • Understanding of emerging technologies, e.g. AI, IoT, mobile, cloud migrations and Azure
    • Familiarity with software development projects from documentation, task management through delivery.
    • Must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems with limited information, oversight, or direction from leadership. 
    • Responsive, patient and engaging with an ability to partner at both a business and technical level and able to broker relevant solutions to business application incidents and major and minor service requests that are both clear to the business and familiar and acceptable to SMEs and IT technicians
    • Candidate will need strong vendor collaboration and management skills.
    • General understanding of the following Supply Chain domains: Order to Cash, Manufacturing, Planning and Procurement
    • Strong communication skills - ability to translate complex concepts and practices into language that non-experts can understand, and conversely, ability to translate business needs and user needs into language and concepts that other analysts can understand and work with.
    • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions with limited information.    
    • Experience in managing a multi-vendor IT Applications Service environment
    • Experience operating effectively in a matrix environment with the ability to communicate effectively with end-users, business owners, developers, and IT Leads.
    • Ability to influence across the organization, with the ability to interface with the senior leaders of ELC when required.
