    With more than 25 brands Estée Lauder Companies is the global leader in prestige beauty, recognized for its skincare, make-up, fragrances, and hair care products. In Switzerland, Estée Lauder has the main Supply Chain Hub for Travel Retail (TR) and EMEA. Due to a replacement, we are looking for a Logistics & Distribution Buyer for our Indirect Procurement EMEA Team in Wollerau, Switzerland to expand our capacity in Indirect Procurement EMEA.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:  In this role, you will be responsible for the EMEA purchasing activities in logistics and distribution categories. You will be assisting the implementation of the logistics and distribution procurement strategy, leading and supporting procurement activities as well as, identifying, tracking, and managing savings across the region. The objective is to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality logistics services at optimum cost by connecting with stakeholders across functions and influencing customers through listening and communication.

    YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective sourcing strategies for the logistics & distribution category by ensuring quality of services and significant cost reductions in order to support ELC’s growth in the region
    • Lead or support the Category Manager in preparation and conducting sourcing events in a timely manner driving cost reductions and improvement of the quality of services to ELC
    • Investigate and analyze the market innovations, new equipment, services, and solutions available and seek new suppliers who may qualify to do business with ELC
    • Continuously monitor external market conditions and understand their potential impacts on category strategies
    • Lead supplier negotiations, contract discussions with legal, implement contracts and capture them in the system
    • Monitor results, utilizing data reporting capabilities, against established global and regional KPIs
    • Identify new opportunities to meet business needs and cultivate supplier relationships
    • Actively support continuous improvement of procurement processes and relevant IT solutions
    • Review the existing category mapping, analyzing contracts, and buying process end to end to identify what works well and where we have opportunities
    • Identify and develop excellent working relationships with strategic business partners to gain a comprehensive understanding of their requirements and to support the business in achievement of its outcomes

    QUALIFICATIONS

    WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO BRINGS:

    • University degree or apprenticeship in a procurement-related field 
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in a procurement function 
    • Understanding of logistics services (e.g. 3PL, Freight Forwarders, OTR, LTL, FTL, Parcel, Air Freight, Ocean, Inbound/Outbound, e-commerce fulfillment services, Omnichannel, etc.) and Warehousing/Distribution
    • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful sourcing execution
    • Good negotiation skills
    • Very good organizational management skills
    • Team player, also capable to work independently, setting priorities, follow-up agreed processes and standards
    • Flexibility and capacity to adapt to fast-changing project circumstances
    • Strong analytical skills, experience with e-sourcing solutions are a plus
    • Go getter-attitude who is creative and comes up with solutions
    • Fluent in English (writing/speaking), additional languages are a plus
