    Job Description

    The copywriter is responsible for representing and the voice of and writing copy for multiple brands in the Estée Lauder portfolio with a focus on the North America region. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure that North American regional copy needs are met while adhering to each brands’ guidelines and maintaining brand equity. This requires an innovative spirit and the ability to lead day-to-day projects with professional interpersonal and problem-solving skills. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent content writing and proofreading skills and experience executing editorial across various channels including social media, online, in-store collateral, SEO, promotional material, and print. Creative and strategic thinking is required to ensure the brand voice is consistent across all touch points within the region, conveying a holistic message to the consumer.

    • Understand the goal, audience, format and message of each campaign or project and develop copy to satisfy the overall requirements.

    • Write engaging copy tailored to the North American market to promote regional-specific campaigns while upholding brand equity.

    • Develop content with strategic seasonality trends and target audience in mind.

    • Translate product plans, roadmaps and strategies into key product marketing messages and communication.

    • Work across North America cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive campaigns deliver streamlined messaging across all touch points.

    • Partner with Creative and North America cross-functional teams to ensure integration across omni-channel efforts such as driving online sales and in-store traffic via all media platforms.

    • Develop fit-for-platform copy across digital and social assets, including social, mobile, display, and video.

    • Ensure copy follows social media best practices for each platform as set by media partners and Marketing teams.

    • Communicate competitive best practices in copywriting and determine which ideas are most effective.

    • Identify key drivers across all tactics to optimize language, tone, and message for future programs.

    • Partner with Global Creative and Editorial teams to stay up to date on latest Tone of Voice and Brand Guidelines

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years copywriting experience at a brand or agency. Beauty experience preferred.

    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or similar.

    • Exceptional grammar, writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.

    • Excellent organizational and self-management skills. Detail oriented, highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently or collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to align internal and external partners.

    • Talent for building and maintaining good relationships with internal team, global creative and editorial teams, and other key, external teams including Marketing and eCommerce.

    • Ability to work across numerous brands, adhering to brand guidelines, and adjusting brand voice per brand.

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
