The Manager, Retailer.com will have primary responsibility for ensuring that Tom Ford Beauty Global Online develops a comprehensive global strategy for Retailer.com selling, socializing this strategy with Regional & Affiliate Online teams, and supporting its ongoing execution. This role will also oversee paid media, affiliate, & innovative partnerships on behalf of the Tom Ford Beauty Global Online team, in close partnership with Tom Ford Beauty Global Consumer Engagement and Corporate teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Retail.com
- Maintain a deep understanding of the global retailer.com landscape (key players by market, relevant trends and innovations, intra-category performance & rankings, etc.), with support from the Corporate Online retailer.com team. Summarize and cascade this knowledge regularly to Tom Ford Beauty Global, Regional, & Affiliate Online teams
- Develop a comprehensive global playbook for Tom Ford Beauty to win on Global retailer.com platforms, including both high-level strategy and specific tactical recommendations tailored to key platforms.
- Socialize this playbook with Tom Ford Beauty Global, Regional, & Affiliate Online teams; partner closely with these teams to ensure that playbook recommendations are being implemented, and work with relevant stakeholders to address any challenges or concerns that arise during the implementation process. Support Affiliate Online teams in launching Tom Ford Beauty on new Retailer.com as opportunities arise
- Represent the needs of retailer.com platforms in meetings with key brand partners (Product Marketing, Promotional Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Creative, etc.) to ensure that Tom Ford Beauty Online teams have the products, content, and other support they need to win in these channels
- Understand the planning and cadence leading up to and during High Traffic Moments
- Manage the tracking and analysis of competitor activity across retailer.com platforms in partnership with regional teams
Global Partnerships: Paid Media & Affiliates
- Maintain a strong understanding of the global paid media landscape and best practices; ensure that this knowledge is shared out regularly via playbooks, workshops, and/or other formats with relevant stakeholders, e.g. Tom Ford Beauty Regional & Affiliate Online teams and Global Creative
- Lead global paid media partnerships with Meta, Google, Tik Tok, and other key platforms or agencies on behalf of Tom Ford Beauty Global Online, in collaboration with other Corporate & Brand teams (Consumer Engagement, Corporate Online, etc.). This includes but is no limited to managing global co-investment opportunities, building out new pilots, and identifying opportunities to optimize content & messaging
- Develop and maintain a Global Affiliate Channel Playbook leveraging best practices & learnings from the Tom Ford Beauty Beauty North America & UK Online teams. Socialize this playbook with all Tom Ford Beauty Regional & Affiliate Online teams and support them in implementing these recommendations on an ongoing basis
Global Partnerships: Innovation & Strategy
- Partner with Regional, Affiliate, & Corporate teams to maximize app-based social selling opportunities (Instagram, WeChat, etc.) across key global markets
- Identify new opportunities to drive Tom Ford Beauty Online’s business in some or all markets with additional partners and platforms specializing in new customer acquisition, on-site conversion, and/or consumer retention & engagement
- Partner with relevant Tom Ford BeautyRegional / Affiliate Online teams, Site Experience, and/or Corporate Online teams to build out test & learn pilots with these partners. Determine which partners to retain on an ongoing basis, and oversee additional rollouts where appropriate
- Support the Director & VP, Tom Ford BeautyGlobal Online, on corporate and brand presentations, analyses, and other strategic requests involving retailer.com, Paid Media, Affiliates, or Innovative Partnership content
Qualifications
Candidate Qualifications:
- Relevant undergraduate college degree required; MA or MBA preferred
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce or digital marketing, ideally in prestige beauty or luxury. Direct experience working in major APAC markets, with retailer.com platforms, and/or with paid media partnerships strongly preferred
- Agile and flexible thinker who is equally at home leading high-level strategy development or planning a detailed project execution roadmap
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a history of building strong cross-functional relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects and deliverables; strong organization skills and attention to detail are critical
- Proactive, can-do, solution-oriented attitude and a strong ownership mentality; ability and willingness to learn quickly on-the-job
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience with ecommerce / web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Data Warehouse, Oracle Business Intelligence, etc.) strongly preferred
- Chinese, Japanese, and/or Korean language skills (both verbal & written) are a strong plus
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
