R&D Portfolio Manager will specialize in Skincare Portfolio Management for the current ELC total portfolio, pipeline, and competitive market. The manager will collaborate with branded functions, including R&D, Product Development, and Marketing, to provide a holistic view of the skincare pipeline at the brand and category level.
The manager will deliver category market and competitive assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for mid- and up-stream innovation teams.
The Portfolio Manager will own reporting on critical data points for upstream technology and charter development, including project priority, opportunity vs. competition, overall portfolio timeline, milestone progression, and return on investment.
· Thorough competitive and category assessments to identify corporate strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
· Identification of priority initiatives and proposal of development strategy in collaboration with R&D technical teams.
· Led robust technical milestone reviews for chartered initiatives, identifying and resolving technical issues to drive platform development and proof of concept.
· Drive technically ready upstream technology to market via collaboration with brand Product Development and Marketing.
· Leverage defined KPIs to measure progress/success for the role
Qualifications
· B.S. degree in relevant scientific field
· 5 years technical experience in the cosmetic industry.
· Proficient in aspects of category (Makeup/Treatment) technology.
· Highly collaborative and experienced in building new capabilities.
· Excellent Communication skills- clear communicator, critical thinker and confident
