The Responsible Sourcing Manager will support implementation and expansion of the responsible sourcing strategy and operating model to mitigate environmental, economic, and social risks within our global supply base.
Support execution of key elements of the Estee Lauder Companies’ Responsible Sourcing strategy
Design and deploy action plans for Supplier Engagement in support of ELC’s science-based target
Manage ELC’s CDP Supply Chain program
Manage ELC’s engagement in Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (SLoCT)
Support comprehensive and accurate scope 3 data collection in support of ELC enterprise carbon accounting
Manage project milestones and KPIs, including manipulation of large data sets to conduct analysis
Act as a champion for Responsible Sourcing, educating and energizing colleagues in Procurement, internal stakeholders, and Suppliers
Prepare and present project updates to internal stakeholders and support external disclosure of supplier climate engagement progress in ELC’s Social Impact & Sustainability Report and other external reporting channels
Proactively identify opportunities to create value and/or mitigate risks through sustainability
Engage in external member organization (e.g., CDP, BSR, SLoCT, etc.) events and working groups to identify industry best practices and opportunities to advance ELC’s scope 3 climate strategy
Stay current on regional trends and evolving regulations and protocols (e.g., carbon accounting)
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years’ experience in project management, responsible sourcing and/or procurement
Previous experience running portfolios of diverse projects
Strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred: experience mentoring or managing people
High proficiency in MS Office including MS PowerPoint, MS EXCEL
Strong passion for corporate social responsibility
Working knowledge of corporate reporting frameworks, climate action strategies and greenhouse gas accounting
