Marketing Manager Bobbi Brown, Travel Retail Worldwide
The Marketing Manager will lead trade and applied marketing programs within the Global Travel Retail (TR) division for Bobbi Brown. Manage day to day responsibilities with efficiency and effectiveness while meeting long-term strategic objectives. This position partners closely with Travel Retail regional marketing teams (based in Singapore, London, and Miami), cross-functional teams, as well as Global Marketing leads. Position will support the Executive Director of Marketing on all aspects of marketing strategy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Trade Marketing:
Cultivate close collaborative relationships with key partners to ensure new programs meet market specific needs: language variants, creatives, visual merchandising, promotional programming, and events.
Lead the development of all sales tools including seasonal marketing calendars, visual merchandising calendars, and sales material for the respective Travel Retail Regions.
Cascade annual/ seasonal marketing plans to Regional leads. Ensure Regional teams connect their short-term execution plans to the long-term brand strategy.
Responsible for the preparation of marketing presentations to support sales meetings and retailer presentations. Ensure all marketing-related support materials are provided on time (e.g. comps, MOB strategy, visual concepts, etc.).
Manage, maintain, and issue seasonal and ongoing product assortments, including pricing updates. Provide recommendations to optimize portfolio aligned to changing makeup landscape, consumer profile, and travel corridors.
Partner with Visual Merchandising teams on seasonal changeovers. Lead seasonal merchandising and planogram updates to incorporate product and launch focus shifts.
Category/Launch Management:
Execute new product launch programs with excellence. Leverage market analytics to provide recommendations on program opportunity, consumer resonance, forecast guidelines, and cost of goods.
Liaise with Inventory Control teams to ensure saleable and promotional goods are adequately planned and allocated for all new programs and distributions.
Manage the inflight business. Work directly with Regions and demand planning to review forecast proposals, confirm stock, and liaise on all creative needs for listings.
Use commercial business acumen to ensure marketing activities support retail sales and strategic goals.
Responsible for tracking new and limited life product shipments from manufacturing plant to distribution center. Lead bi-weekly status meetings with respective teams to ensure on-time delivery and launch timeline is met. Take initiative to ensure clear communication flow with key stakeholders.
Product Development and Project Management, Travel Retail Exclusive Programs:
Work closely with the Executive Director of Marketing to lead a 3 year rolling strategy on TR Exclusive (TREX) programs, identify portfolio gaps, and white space opportunities.
Conceptualize and develop collections and sets in collaboration with the Global Marketing team or within the TR Set Innovation team.
Manage program and artwork initiation in partnership with a cross-functional team (artwork creation, packaging, and translations).
Track development, stock transfer, product discontinuations, and project milestones with respective stakeholders.
Lead monthly TREX liability calls. Assess risks with demand planning partners, make product discontinuation recommendations, and work with Supply Chain to minimize liability.
Consumer Engagement:
Have an understanding and/or interest in the digital and social media landscape within the beauty industry. Collaborate with regional marketing and digital teams to ideate initiatives that will enhance consumer journey across awareness, engagement, and conversion touch points.
Liaise with regional and global e-com teams to standardize seasonal process to support retailer e-com sites. Partner closely with Digital team based in NY on execution and promotional animation (holidays, special promos, retailer collaborations, etc.).
Liaise with global brand consumer engagement team to evaluate new and innovative capabilities. Adapt global programs to enhance the experience relevant for the traveling consumer.
Business Analysis:
Responsible for the development of monthly business performance reviews – sell-in, sell-thru, sub category trends, and product rankings. Look for insights, provide recommendations, and initiates change.
Perform post launch diagnostics and provide quantitative and qualitative insight on launch performance. Capture lessons learned and share best practices.
Translate industry data and consumer insights into actionable tactics across key consumer profiles.
Analyze sales, inventory, and shipment reports, as needed.
Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in trade, product, consumer marketing or relevant commercial fields.
College/University degree required, MBA a plus.
Prestige makeup experience a plus.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and well-organized.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to think strategically and translate complex ideas and processes to action.
Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Demonstrates agility and adaptability to changing market needs.
Must have understanding or interest in international commercial business.
Strong skillsets in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $133,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
