Marketing Manager, La Mer, Travel Retail Worldwide
POSITION SUMMARY:
The La Mer Travel Retail Worldwide team is seeking a Marketing Manager who can support the Marketing Director to drive our fast growing global business. Key focus areas will include: development of digital/social activations, management of travel retail exclusives (sets and product launches) and management of the TRWW marketing calendar. This role will build collaborative relationships with all key cross functional and regional partners, being a key contact for day to day requests on La Mer to ensure all marketing needs are met.
As our business continues to evolve with the onset of digitally savvy consumers, the role will act as a key conduit to help drive the La Mer Travel Retail social digital strategy. Collaborates with Global Brand, TR Brand team, Digital, Global Communications and with Shopper Insights to plan content and engage with our social communities. Works closely with key brand functions in NY and International markets to guide social media content, strategy, engagement and amplification that is relevant to Travel Retail. #ELCTravelRetail
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead all aspects of new product launch activity once marketing bulletins are issued for saleable and non-saleable programs to be reviewed with team. Prepared to make recommendations on all new programs to assort within our channel, reviewing concept, COG implications, forecast with Demand Planning and necessary Visual Merchandising needs, plus promotional elements to support the launch. Ensure product launch programs meet the brand's strategic and financial targets.
Manage the development of all TR Exclusive Programs and Launches (TR Sets and product launches), collaborating with Global Marketing, Global Supply Chain or COE, Creative and Distribution teams to ensure programs are on track to meet launch dates.
Prepare all necessary documentation including Concept Briefs, creative requests along with COG studies for Global Travel Retail exclusive programs.
Support in developing our digital and social strategies for all key campaigns and launches, create briefs, and proposals to drive engagement with travelling consumers on our digital and social platforms partnering with TR Integrated Marketing team (digital and communications) and our regional and brand partners.
Support the director on Travel-themed programs with a focus on driving the social/digital engagement and assisting in brief preparation for the global brand team.
Support Executive Director on Retailer Exclusive Events, programs, promotions and manage the social portion of the 360 omni-channel plan.
Lead bi-weekly conference calls with Distribution Center and Business Planning team for the tracking of shipments of all new and limited life launches from primary plant to distribution center (Lachen) using the Event recap (includes: saleable and non-saleable items). Ensure new/limited life programs are forecasted, received and shipping to plan (Saleable~~,~~ TR Sets, non-saleable).
Maintain assortment and update as necessary, including Inflight. Prepare and present assortment line edits yearly based upon sales results, productivity reviews, MOB and COG.
Cultivate close collaborative relationships with NY partners, Global Brand and Regional teams. Act as key point person for TR WW managing day to day requests from regional and global teams. Lead communication with each regional marketing team (Miami, London & Singapore) to ensure their needs (creative, visual merchandising, programming, etc.) are met.
Manage TR Marketing Calendars. Issue monthly to Regional Marketing Team and NY partners.
Manage all TR Creative request with global brand team, and serve as lead contact for fulfilling those needs between region and global.
Prepare and present quarterly analysis of sales, including, category/franchise trends, new launch activity results, promotional programming. Provide summary reports to NY and regional teams.
Prepare and present quarterly TREX analysis.
Manage competitive analysis from a sales, and social content point of view. Identify product need gaps and opportunities. Develop and execute recommended action plans that will improve category performance.
Share social media best practices from NY to the TR Regions.
Track beauty trends/news with momentum on social media and brainstorm on new content ideas, reposts, retweets, re-grams so brand is participating in relevant daily social media conversations.
Responsible for the creation of marketing presentations for sales meetings and retailer presentations
Works on a variety of special projects as necessary. (Competitive Studies, Strategy, Pricing Analysis, Presentations)
QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIES
Degree in Marketing preferred
Minimum 5 years of marketing and operational experience
Position requires a flexible, independent, well-organized individual
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for collaborative team environment.
Ability to navigate among multiple constituents, platforms and communities to ensure strategies/goals are understood and met
Digital and social media skills a plus, awareness of Asia market social media platforms
Candidate must be a detail-oriented, self-starter and a team player.
Candidate should also demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills required, especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Pop culture and trend savvy
Mandarin reading and writing skills a plus
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $133,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
