    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Assist in-house and outside counsel with litigation issues, including those related to the Company's employment litigation.

    • Retrieve documents and information from different Company departments in response to discovery requests, including conducting searches of electronic databases and interviewing and interfacing with Company employees.

    • Assist attorneys with subpoena and discovery responses, including conducting interviews with Company employees, gathering documents and information, and preparing documents for attorney review and production.

    • Assist with preparation, dissemination, and maintenance of document preservation hold memoranda in connection with ongoing or threatened litigation.

    • Manage the employment litigation matter management system and maintain and update the litigation report.  Respond to internal reports requesting information on litigation status. 

    • Assist attorneys in obtaining necessary information to set up matters in e-billing portal (Legal Tracker).

    • Monitor employment legislation and advise legal team as to updates and coordinate the implementation or updating of policies as needed.

    • Prepare and update training materials for management and HR on employment law issues, trends and developments.  

    • Conduct legal research on various topics as requested by the legal team.

    • Analyze litigation data and prepare internal presentation materials on company employment litigation and trends.   

    • Keep track of noncompete enforcement.

    • Provide support on background check process as part of employee onboarding.

    • Assist attorneys in updating various templates and forms for HR and management use, including maintaining repository of same.

    • Perform other paralegal duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree.

    • At least 5-7 years of solid experience as a litigation paralegal with a major law firm or a major corporation.

    • Paralegal certificate preferred

    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

    • Experience with eDiscovery issues and working with eDiscovery vendors.

    • High level of computer literacy.

    • Strong organizational skills.

    • Proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and other legal research tools.

    • Ability to multi-task and work independently, efficiently, and effectively to ensure deadlines are met.

    • Strong people skills, maturity, discretion, and ability to collaborate and work well as team with others.
