  • Responsibilities
    • The role is responsible for the day to day to administration of the 401(k) and Cash Balance Pension plan.
      • Ensure accuracy of plan recordkeeping and data.
      • Research and respond to/resolve inquiry call from the vendor concerning operational issues (data files, funding, escalated employee issues etc.)
      • Coordinate regulatory filing requirements, annual audits, and assist treasury with financial reconciliations as needed.
      • Act as point of contact for 401(k) Third Party Administrator of the retirement plans.
      • Manage daily escalated issues and follow through with resolutions.
      • Partner with GIS and vendor to resolve any data and pay issues.
      • Reconcile payroll contributions with the vendor and prepare funding request.
      • Coordinate required materials for SOX and walk-throughs with various members of Internal Controls and external auditors.
      • Assist with the annual 401(k) and Cash Balance plans audit with independent auditor.
      • Create retirement profiles and cost spreadsheets as needed.
      • Maintain Executive life insurance policies; coordinate annual premium payments for approval and liaise with Payroll to report imputed income.
      • Assist with PBGC filing, Form 5500 filing, annual pension valuation, annual Cash Balance roll-up, annual 401(k) true-up contributions, compliance mailings, and other ad-hoc projects relating to the retirement plans.
      • Coordinate monthly non-qualified lump sum payments for approval.
      • Provide monthly retiree reports to the Retiree Gratis department.
      • Update 401(k) enrollments and changes in HR system for RSL employees, as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Basic knowledge of outsourced 401(k) plans administration/ knowledge of Defined Benefits Cash Balance Plans a plus
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
    • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
    • Ability to work well with others, build and maintain good interpersonal relationships and be customer service oriented

    The anticipated hourly range for this position is $31.25 to $49.25. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
