Senior Analyst, Business Analyst, Regulatory and Compliance

The Business Analyst function is business facing role for the Global Regulatory and R&D Compliance organizations. As a functional subject matter expert, the Sr. Business Analyst, Regulatory & R&D Compliance has responsibility for the health of R&D, PSRA and core R&D/ PLM applications, in terms of quality and operational effectiveness from a functional & technical standpoint.
The Sr. Business Analyst, Regulatory & R&D Compliance works as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Senior Analyst understands business needs and priorities, uses multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations through bringing end to end process approach. This requires ongoing, proactive interaction with cross-functional global R&D and PSRA leaders and users while providing consistent communication with various IT functions. There is a key focus on managing the relationship with the business at both a strategic and portfolio level to ensure the IT organization has early insight into changing business directions in order to inform and shape IT demand.
For this role Regulatory, Product Compliance and R&D industry background is a required and consultancy experience in life-science (or related practices) are highly preferred.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Analyzes business and user needs, establishes clear business value objectives, develops and discusses potential solutions, documents requirements, and revise existing system logic or business process difficulties to select, build or modify large, complex or mission critical information systems to achieve business value
Performs Senior Business Analyst responsibilities working on large and complex software development, infrastructure, SaaS and/or Cloud solutions
Applies analytical skills working with business and product owners to develop requirements and user stories stemming from product roadmaps
Adds value to the delivery team by working with the business and product owner to create clarity around business objectives through the development of and refinement of user stories
Applies analytical skills to document accurate business requirements and present these requirements in a manner that is concise, measurable and flexible enough to meet project and stakeholder needs
Involves in the quality and acceptance of vendor analysis and testing of SOW deliverables in a project setting
Prepares the documentation of requirements and test cases so that the requirements and test cases are unambiguous, aligned, consistent and not in contradiction with each other
Works collaboratively within a delivery team at all levels with considerate ability to take ownership of tasks and complete them with minimal direct supervision
Brings end to end process perspective to the solutions and move easily between big picture thinking and manages relevant detail
Analyses complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
Navigates the complexities of cross-border and/or diverse teams and engagements
Builds collaborative relationships with the business and vendors to ensure synergistic partnership
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Understanding of requirements from the business or stakeholder’s perspective and translating the requirements into the appropriate deliverables in an Agile/Scrum/ Waterfall delivery model
Understanding of the SDLC activities expected to deliver custom developed and packaged applications and Agile Requirements Methods
Understanding of all phases of applications systems analysis, the SDLC development methodology (Waterfall/ Agile) and GxP Validation policies
Ability to understand and facilitate business process management modelling (Process Workflow documentation, As-Is/ To-Be analysis, etc.)
Ability to use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, maintaining project schedule and quality deliverables
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 year(s) of experience working in IT system/software development projects and project management processes in highly regulated industries focusing on regulatory, product compliance and R&D/ PLM functions, Or min 1 years of consultancy experience in life science (or related) practice highly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, management information systems
Experience in Product Lifecycle Management Applications highly preferred
