    POSITION SUMMARY

    Working closely with the VP/GM of AERIN Beauty and VP of Global Communications lead and brand founder/creative director, Aerin Lauder; as well as wider Global AERIN Beauty and LLC teams, this role is responsible for supporting the brand’s growth through strategic launches and collaborations; elevated experiential events and tiered gifting; global influencer ambassador programs; and development of carefully cadenced storylines to help markets achieve meaningful, high-caliber press opportunities for both AERIN and Aerin Lauder.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    GLOBAL STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & LOCAL IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT

    • Develop Global Communications strategy (with approval from VP, AERIN and VP, Global Communications) that helps refine and articulate brand identity, broadens relevancy and reach, and enhances consumer engagement

    • Create and actualize annual Global Communications calendar including launches, media relations, product storylines, strategic pitches, events and partnerships

    • With oversight from VP's, cascade overall brand strategy with clear guidelines for execution to regions and affiliates, ensuring strong, locally relevant brand storytelling to amplify brand reach and engagement across markets and channels; oversee the delivery of product and brand information to press on global level

    • Finance and Budget Management: build out annual Communications budget, allocating and assigning investment priorities based upon key brand & departmental objectives, with final approval from VP’s

    • Track & review ROI analysis on platforms and influencer programs to guide future investments, and provide measurable results that prove the achievement of brand’s Global Communications objectives

    360 IDEATION & CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS

    • Identify opportunities with new brand, media and platform partners, integrating founder-led creative ideas into overall strategy and calendar

    • Work cross-functionally to ideate and realize powerful 360 brand initiatives that drive aspiration, awareness and multi-channel engagement (creative, product marketing and consumer engagement), and generate high-caliber content to leverage across global social platforms

    • Partner with VP's on ideation and realization of strategic Global Ambassador program to amplify key AERIN products, seasonal moments, and themes – including influencer curation, SOW build-out and content approvals

    • Support regions in developing local partnership strategies and events that amplify key brand launches and business priorities

    • Collaborate with VP's on development and manage execution of philanthropic partnership program with strong brand affinity (Every Mother Counts) to position AERIN as purpose driven brand and inspire consumers: identify ongoing opportunities for support, alignment, and engagement with EMC, including fund-raising, special events and content creation

    • Lead year-round strategic program to attract and engage next generation of AERIN consumers: Devise socially dynamic content calendar animating #AERINBEAUTYGIRLS theme, leveraging Gen Z/Young Millennial creators/influencer community

    CROSS FUNCTIONAL PLAYER

    • Partner with Creative team: Generate fresh and engaging campaign ideas that deliver on program goals and deepen loyalty and affinity; collaborate on invitations and creative mailers supporting key events, launches and seasonal press/tastemaker/influencer gifting

    • Partner with Consumer Engagement/Digital/Social teams: Ensure cohesive and compelling consumer experience across E-commerce, in-store and social and digital channels; collaborate on build-out of rich social calendar including thematic on-site editorials, social storytelling and elevated UGC, and consumer facing events

    • Partner with Product Marketing team: Identify, secure & produce brand collaborations that drive press & social buzz, enrich brand equity, and increase awareness

    • In partnership with VP's, oversee and manage in-house PR team, and identify/source/direct outside PR agencies and consultants where applicable

    • Leverage strong relationships with media contacts, both new and long-standing, on behalf of brand and founder, especially in Home market (North America)

    EVENTING & PR TOOLS

    • Stratgize & implement press/event/social support for new counter, freestanding store, and pop-up openings

    • Leverage brand’s home & lifestyle equity to maximize relevancy, buzz, and press opportunities for AERIN Beauty

    • Oversee development and approval of all press copy (releases, interviews, Q&As, and media alerts); Preparation of all press briefs and event run-of-show documents

    • Enhance sharing of best practices globally and encourage optimization of existing initiatives

    BRAND GATEKEEPER

    • Crisis Management: address all public concerns and social responsibility issues related to brand in a timely and proactive manner, in partnership with AERIN Beauty Global Communications VP and ELC Corporate Communications leads

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Understanding context of licensor relation and founder brand leadership

    • 5+ years of experience in PR

    • Experience translating luxury brand equity and strategic business plan to PR and execute strategies that lead and grow the brand in line with vision

    • Proven PR track record, strategic mindset, creative, team player and budget management

    • Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

    • Strong global experience with a deep knowledge for local needs and nuances

    • Creative problem solver able to thrive in fast paced environment 

    • Big-picture thinker and experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment

    • Must possess excellent creative, verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail

    • Strong leadership, influence, organizational and management skills. Collaborative.

    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $156,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
