  • Responsibilities
    • The translational clinical group serves as a pivotal bridge between advanced technology and the clinical claim team. This position works in the clinical translation team to support innovation projects and develop novel clinical methodology and measurement science.

    • This position will play a ‘dual role,’ contributing scientific and clinical development expertise to innovation projects. He/She will be responsible for supporting translational efforts in the preclinical space to identify biomarkers and pharmacodynamic assays that enable the development of mechanistically-driven translational methods.

    • This position is responsible for successfully demonstrating advancing novel scientific discoveries and supporting mechanisms of action insights during clinical development.

    • He/She will be responsible for the study design and work with the internal/external team to execute the study. This position will independently design and conduct clinical studies under GCP and company SOP

    • Experience in managing external studies at CROs and academic collaborators, including monitoring study execution and ensuring finalization of study reports within set timelines.

    • Familiar with the key elements of clinical study execution, good clinical practice, data management, and statistics. Basic understanding of statistical analysis

    • Basic understanding of skin biology and physiology, knowledge of bioinstrumentation used in clinical studies, clinical grading, and imaging.

    • Interact with the Advanced Technology team and formulation labs to understand the corporate chartered innovation projects and off calendar innovation projects to provide prompt and sufficient clinical support.  

    • Be able to convert study design/synopsis to full protocol, site, and investigator selection, study planning, monitoring and investigator engagement, review study report and data analysis, and the ability to summarize study results and present data internally and externally.

    • Experience in clinical study method development.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of experience in the cosmetic/ healthcare industry, with expertise in clinical testing, partnering with CROs, and expertise focusing on translational research in an industry/biotech setting is preferred.

    • Familiar with clinical measurements and methodologies, all the key elements of clinical studies, Good clinical practice, data management, and statistics. Familiar with skin biology and physiology.

    • Graduate degree in science, Ph.D. is preferred in biological mass spectrometry, biomechanical, material science, skin imaging research, or biochemistry research.

    • Strong technical skills. Independent problem solver.

    5% Travel

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,000 to $104,000.  Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
