THE POSITION
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Director is part of the Management team and has the following key focus areas:
- Provide strong leadership to the Supply Chain team to effectively convert Company’s strategies into actions
- Accountable for the service and optimization of the distribution infrastructure that meet projected business growth across all distribution channels including Online.
- Implement global and regional supply chain best practices where applicable
- Ensure value realization key milestones for supply chain are met to capture more value.
- Drive costs out via productivity gains and savings.
Job Description
- Demand Planning - team of 3 people. 1/ identify and action supply constraints and oversells, 2/ suggest mitigations to affiliate to cover supply gaps and increase attainment, 3/ analyze and prevent lost sales, prioritize within affiliate to maximize revenue, 4/ identify deviations from NPL (New Product Launch) plan and partner with Commercial team for actions on order side, 5/ action to close supply gaps with EMEA supply chain, 6/ align NPL demand plan for unexpected changes in execution horizon (e.g. phasing, reductions) and 7/ touch Demand Plan by exception on the short-term.
- Masterdata - team of 2 people (outsourced to an external company – team based in India). 1/ ensure compliance and updating in SAP of all data (customers, products, prices) related to the distribution mission of the subsidiary, 2/ guarantee the integrity of this data thanks to the rigorous application of validation procedures and schedules and 3/ manage process optimization projects in particular on EDI flows (even optimization project).
- Customer Service - team of 11 people. 1/ manage the Order-To-Cash process flow (replenishment, new launches and free items), to all of the subsidiary's customers (including Estée Lauder Companies stores), 2/ ensure the proper follow-up of customer orders within the requested deadlines, 3/ ensure the resolution of customer disputes as soon as possible, 4/ accompany the team in the integration of new customers, new brands and in the optimization of processes and schedules requested by customers, 4/ challenge the team in the search for improvement and optimization of tools, processes in the context of customer satisfaction, 5/ search with the different actors (internal brands, internal finance, regional platform, supplier such as carrier) for corrective actions in the event of disputes, and common areas for improvement, 6/ manage the return warehouse of the subsidiary (La Garenne-Colombes) and its receptionist on all customer return flows (management of destruction and destocking flows).
- Project management – team of 2 people. As part of a global project to optimize Supply Chain processes and flows in the group, the Supply Chain Director's mission is to actively participate in any solution to improve, simplify and optimize tools and flow. To do this, several axes have already been undertaken, such as: EDI implementation projects, projects to set up a dematerialized product catalog with Key Accounts, invoice dematerialization project, end-to-end planning project, supply chain control tower, etc.
- Organization & People Development. 1/ direct management: in accordance with the group's charter, the Supply Chain Director will monitor his team as part of the Personal Development Plan (PDP) with the implementation of objectives, their mid-year review and their annual assessment. In addition, the Supply Chain Director will actively participate in recommendations and organizational optimization decisions in the subsidiary, 2/ indirect management: as a business partner of the various brands, the Supply Chain Director's mission is to adhere to and apply a continuous discipline to all of its processes. He must ensure the communication and control of new directives or procedures. Finally, his role is key in the relationship with the regional logistics platform and their teams, 3/ talent development: ensure strengths and skills of personnel are developed; monitor training with further coaching and counseling as needed and 4/ change management: embrace transformational initiatives and lead the team through change by adapting leadership & communication style.
- Retailer collaboration: 1/ Establish with our key retailers a strong collaboration to ensure best-in-class execution and to build long-term collaboration (Joint Business Planning) and 2/ Propose pro-actively supply chain projects to our key customers to drive value (EDI, GS1, …).

WORK EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in an FMCG environment within a Supply Chain environment.
- SAP experience, good systems knowledge, and PC literate.
- Strong communication skills and English speaking an essential.
- Good local knowledge and familiarity with the local mentality
- Ability to drive Continuous Improvement within the responsibility area to cope with a short-term fluctuating workload according to customer requirements.
- Business schools or engineering school (ideally with supply chain option)
- English Fluent and Local Language
